About the adventure

A Land on the Brink. A World Yours to Shape. This is a campaign for players who thrive in open worlds—where you forge your path, chase your ambitions, and shape the future through your choices. With no set road to follow, the map is yours to explore: tangled swamps, jagged mountains, ruined keeps, and strange cities that rise from the mist. Secrets lie buried everywhere, and danger waits behind every opportunity. Inspired by the sweeping landscapes and ancient magics of classic fantasy, this open-world campaign blends the rich, familiar feel of Dungeons & Dragons with the wild, mythic atmosphere of The Inheritance Cycle. Across the land, tensions simmer. Factions sharpen their blades in silence, wary of the war that looms on the horizon. In this shifting landscape, power is currency—and treasure, influence, and alliances are yours for the taking. Whether you rise as a hero of the people, a warlord of ambition, or something in between, your legend will be defined not just by what you conquer, but by what you choose to become. Treasure hunting isn’t just for gold; it's a means to an end. Powerful items, forgotten knowledge, and mysterious relics are surfacing—some only just uncovered, others deliberately kept hidden. Those bold enough to find and claim them can tip the balance in the conflicts to come. Who you align with—or betray—along the way will determine more than just your next adventure. It could decide the fate of the realm. This game is for players who love freedom, meaningful choices, and layered, dynamic storytelling. Whether you're sneaking through ruins, negotiating with elusive powers, or leading your allies into battle, the world won’t wait for you—but it will remember you. Campaign adds Alagaësia from renowned Inheritance cycle books to the Forgotten Realms. -> Zero Alagaësian setting lore knowledge needed! -> Intended for both players with a love for the Alagaësian setting and for new or veteran players who love exploring new settings!

About me

I am a Florida-man, tabletop game enthusiast, and hobbyist board game designer with a deep love for fantasy storytelling. I've been immersed in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition for over 6 years, serving as the Dungeon Master for a weekly in-person group for 4 of those years. With two full campaigns under my belt and many one-shot adventures, I strive to bring rich narratives, engaging worlds, and immersive roleplay to every table. Inspired by fantasy classics like The Lord of the Rings, The Inheritance Cycle, The Wheel of Time, and shows like Critical Role, I enjoy blending deep lore knowledge with creative game design to craft unforgettable adventures. Ready to roll? Worlds await.

What A.J. brings to the table

Rule of Cool - as long as it does not spoil another's experience! Roleplay: - Players - Speak in 1st or 3rd person / character voices optional - Roleplay choices matter! -> Uncover rewards & loot -> Create advantageous alliances -> Investigate villain's strengths and weaknesses - GM Roleplay -> NPC voices -> Setting includes roleplay situations & moral quandaries -> Reaction to player roleplay is randomized with a d20 test, but is weighted considering the NPC's alignment and approval of PC.
