About the adventure
⚔️✨ Welcome to Daggerheart! the newest release from Critical Role's Darrington Press. A collaborative storytelling game of high fantasy and heroic adventure.🏰 🧮 You don't need a character sheet to get started! ⏳ In this single 3 hour session (aka one-shot), we will cover the flow of the game, Learn your player-character and their special abilities, experience high adventure and save the Sablewood! 📚By the end of the session you will experience: exploration, combat, role-play, and the unique mechanics and drama of Daggerheart. 🗡️🗝️ Can you make your way through the perils of the Sablewood and meet with the Whitefire Arcanist? Can Daggerheart show us how to Play in a narrative? Let's find out together in this introductory adventure for the new system, Daggerheart. This session is set in: The Sablewood, an ancient forest realm where towering darkwood trees stretch skyward like cathedral spires, their canopies so dense that perpetual twilight reigns below. This is a land where druidic circles hold sway over forgotten groves, where fey courts dance in moonlit clearings, and where the very trees whisper secrets to those who know how to listen.

I've been a musician and director since I was young and have always believed that everyone deserves the chance to be creative. Creating your character
Play in this campaign will be limited to Tier 1 Daggerheart Characters. Pregenerated characters are available. Players should create a character and share it with the DM at least 6 hours before joining a session. What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before our Session 0, please: 1) Set up Discord with a working microphone and webcam (optional but encouraged) 2) Create a free Owlbear Rodeo account at owlbear.rodeo, and review the dice rolling system within https://extensions.owlbear.rodeo/dice 3) Read the Sablewood Player's Guide I'll email you, 4) Have your 1st level character ready in Nexus or in PDF and share it with me. We will build backstory notes in session 0, 5) Think about your character's relationship with nature and what secrets they might be hiding. I'll send detailed setup instructions and Discord server invite after you're confirmed. Please test your Owlbear Rodeo connection beforehand - we'll have a brief tech check 15 minutes before each session. What Lahyam brings to the table
I will be open to all questions 15 min prior to the session. I want to let you help build the story as I GM so early in the session we will connect the characters together before play begins. I want to encourage roleplay, so I'll be bringing voices too. I use battlemaps on Owlbear Rodeo.
