About the adventure
This one-shot acts as a fast, fun, and scary encounter for the ready-made characters from this book to star in and give players an introductory taste of what Curseborne is all about. Sam (an undead stoner with all the time in the world on his hands), Eve (a vampire socialite and PR manager in charge of spin and damage control), Cassie (demonic defense lawyer passionate about injustice), Izzy (metalhead werewolf with a justifiable chip on her shoulder) and Kai Watanabe (A magic enthusiast with a whole mental encyclopedia of sorcerous trivia) are in their favorite coffee shop. The five of them are waiting for the arrival of your friend Alex Clarke. Unlike them he’s not Accursed, but he’s been a good ally through all the collective weirdness and doesn’t ask too many awkward questions. Someone who is asking awkward questions, however, is the woman at the head of a pack of college kids, loudly complaining to the manager about why the so-called “losers” (in other words, the five of you) get the so-called “good table.” Welcome to another day of being cursed. Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi, you can call me Eli and I love RPGs. I do not limit myself to the d20, I think the thing that has made me a strong gamemaster over the decades is playing as many TTRPGs as possible. I would love to explore new worlds and dimensions with you, or craft some together! My focus has always been the connection between players and the tales we tell without limiting our imaginations. My favorite games to play are Mage: The Awakening, Savage Worlds, and Fabula Ultima. My schedule is full, but if you are interested in gaming with me feel free to send a DM and hopefully we can work something out!

Creating your character
Pregenerated characters will be provided from the Curseborne: Ashcan edition book.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
At minimum, players will need a microphone and Discord. I highly recommend the use of a computer, but a tablet or smartphone will enable play as well.
What Elijah brings to the table
I will be bringing the entire game: rules, sheets, dice, maps, miniatures via the "Foundry VTT" software.

Safety
How Elijah creates a safe table
All my games use the following home rules: Golden Rule (Treat Others As You Want to be Treated), Red Rule (Mind Control Cannot Force Characters to Perform Acts That Makes Players Uncomfortable), Rule of Cool (If the Rules Do Not Support Your Actions We Can Discuss the Possibilities) As part of my open door policy players should feel invited to express discomfort, or praise at anytime during a session. Lines We Do Not Cross: Rape, Sexual Assault (These DO NOT EXIST in my universes) Veils: Sexual encounters, torture (If these come up they occur off-screen) Breaks: At anytime that you need a break feel free to message me, or speak up in the session. After the session I like to discuss how the game went for everyone: what you liked, and what you think could be better, in the form of "Stars and Wishes." These can be for me, the tabletop, or other players.
