About the adventure

This game is for those that wish to flex their creative muscles within the frame of the Daggerheart system! In this series of one shots, you and your fellow players set the tone, the world, and some of the adventure as well! The one shot will be relying on improvisation, and as such, when the GM sets the quest for you based on the information you've given them (in this case, me!), you already know a little bit about what you can expect from the quest. This style of play gives a lot of agency to the players and lets them decide how they would like to experience Daggerheart's narrative, collaborative system. Forming the adventure on the fly, you'll get to explore a bit of the world that you had a hand in creating, and ensure that the tone of the one shot is agreed upon by the party collectively. With that, I hope to see you at the table!

About me

An organized and intuitive story-teller with over 4 years of experience in GMing varied kinds of TTRPGs - including but not limited to DND, Daggerheart and the Good Society TTRPG. As your GM/DM/Storyteller, this is what you can expect from any of my tables: ♡ 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: By appropriate use of ambient music, narrative indicators and engaging storytelling, I make my "theater of the mind" games come to life with my own personal flourishes. ♡ 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: As an asexual woman of colour, it is increasingly important to me that my tables reflect my continued drive to make TTRPGs a safe environment within which anyone can thrive and enjoy, no matter what their background or orientation is. I aim always to uphold a golden standard of table etiquette in all of my games. ♡ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫-𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Another one of my crucial focuses in any game is the willingness to deliver a very player-driven experience. All of the adventures I run are exploration heavy, with the onus of it on the players and their wishes! Every adventure is tailor-made for the general energy and vibe of the group, as well as everyone's individual and collective goals. ♡ 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲: Though my games boast being roleplay-driven, they are not lacking in tactical or crunchy play and heavy combat scenarios. I take great care to deliver a balanced game that will suit the needs of every player in the party, and my versatile GMing style allows for such flexibility. ♡ 𝐀 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚: Needless to say, I am influenced quite a lot by online live play GMs and their styles, chief among them being Brennan Lee Mulligan and Matthew Mercer. I draw a lot of inspiration from their approach to TTRPGs as well as the examples they set in their many campaigns, and I always strive to make the narrative experience something for all of my players to remember. I try my best to weave in humanistic and philosophical elements into my stories, with dramatic flairs that I have always loved to incorporate! ♡ 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞: As an inclusive GM, I try and cover a whole spectrum of topics. Everyone is welcome at my table: whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned player, you will find something to enjoy about my games. Whether you're here just to have fun or you want a serious and dramatic roleplay/narrative experience, or you want tough and dynamic combat that you really need to think on your feet to get through successfully — my games are the place for you! More than anything, I find satisfaction from my work here when you, the player, have simply had a marvelous time and have left each session with a sense of wanting more! So, I hope you 𝑑𝑜 answer the call for adventurers and join one of my games — and let's have a great time telling some riveting stories! ( P.S.: Credit for Icon Art goes to @ShionsLife. )

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be given access to a Demiplane group, where I will enable content sharing. Then, you should be able to go into the 'Characters' section and you can create the character that you wish to. If you already own the book on Demiplane, then you're good to create any character you want! As long as they're level 1, and are not homebrewed, you're all set!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need accounts in the following apps/site: Discord for voice call and chat communications. (Free) Demiplane to create your characters. (Free) Roll20 to interact with maps and tokens. (Free)

What Ajna brings to the table

Maps (both overworld and combat), visuals, ambient music to go along with the narrative, and the full Daggerheart core rule book that will be shared via Demiplane. I absolutely embrace the Rule of Cool! As long as you can logically justify doing something absolutely brilliant (or absolutely silly!), and as long as you make it sound cool - you get what you want!

Safety

How Ajna creates a safe table

I make use of a various amount of safety tools in my games. The first and most important one is the Deck of Player Safety. This tool lets you anonymously submit any boundaries, triggers, etc. you might have that you wouldn't like discussed or mentioned during the game. This way, you don't have to feel put on the spot personally + you get to tell everyone what is a hard line for you! This will then apply to the whole group, and each party member will anonymously let everyone know their triggers! Moreover, the nature of this one shot is such that YOU decide what kind of adventure you want. And the way you come up with this is through discussion with the rest of your party, and with me, your GM! :)
