About the adventure
The year is 1925. In the a vibrant city of Burlington, Vermont, on the shores of Lake Champlain, a student has gone missing. Fearing foul play, authorities and friends have been called in to check in on the young man. The incident has only added on to other strange happenings in the area. Is this the outcome of some young people having too much fun, or is there something more sinister involved? This scenario is for those who haven't played and those who have! Don't worry about experience level, just come have some creepy fun.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey everbody! My name is Ronnie and I've been a huge nerd all my life and I say that with absolute love for the word. I started playing D&D in high school, took a short hiatus then came back in to the world with a bang. I started GMing around ten years ago when I found that I (as well as others) weren't really welcome at the only table at our local game shop. So, I took it upon myself to ask if the shop owner wanted more GMs and she said yes! So...my journey started there and I have fallen completely in love with GMing. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, co-operative story telling, watching others discover their characters...there's nothing like it. So...what can you expect from me? I aim to provide a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone can play and have fun. I encourage role play and creativity. I'm also beginner friendly (I teach adults and kids alike how to play on Saturdays at my LGS). My games include D&D 5e, Castles & Crusades, Call of Cthulhu 7e, Deadlands, Kids on Bikes, Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf the Apocalypse, Fallout, Walking Dead, Alien, Vaesen….pretty much anything!

Creating your character
I have pre-generated characters I will hand out. If you are familiar with character creation, please feel free. This is a starting level adventure though. Just let me look it over before the game starts.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I prefer web cams, but if that's not your bag, I understand. Please have a working mic though. You'll need Discord, a polyhedral dice set and as I said, I'll give you your character sheet.
What Ronnie brings to the table
I run a mostly "theater of the mind" for CoC, but I will have some handouts and maps. I will let you roll physical dice (because I believe that's half the fun) but please don't abuse that. Be honest so we can all have fun. :)

Safety
How Ronnie creates a safe table
Call of Cthulhu tends to be more on the serious side, so expect lots of role play, maybe some puzzle solving/investigation, and, well, horror. Eldritch horror is a favorite of mine, but there are lines I draw with certain things. I will go over my lines and veils. I also have an open door policy and I listen to my players. If you need a break...we take a break. If something is too much...we go a different route. Call of Cthulhu can tend to push limits, but I want everyone to feel safe and welcome at my table. It's a game for us to have fun.
