About the adventure
The continent of Tarsis stands on the brink of ruin. Under the iron claw of the fearsome dragon Lord Khorath, entire kingdoms have crumbled to ash, and those who dare resist are crushed without mercy. His armies march unchecked across the land, his name alone enough to break the will of even the bravest warriors. Whispers of rebellion grow louder, but even the boldest insurgents know the truth: defying Khorath is a death sentence. But in the shadows of this tyrannical empire lies a glimmer of hope: the legendary Hoard of Ages - ancient relics of unimaginable power, scattered across the land. Some say that, if gathered, their combined strength could turn the tide of war and perhaps even lay low the dragon lord himself. As Tarsis teeters on the edge of total subjugation, the resistance remains fractured, plagued by infighting, fear, and despair. The people wait for a leader to unite them, for a spark to ignite the flames of revolution. The question is not whether this world can be saved. The question is: will you be the one to save it?

About me
Hi! I'm Ryan (he/him), I'm 33 years old, and I've been playing and GMing TTRPGs for over a decade now. While I cut my teeth on D&D 5e and it remains my favorite, I've also made my way into other systems, including but not limited to: - Vampire: the Masquerade (V5 and V20) - Hunter: the Reckoning (H5) - Call of Cthulhu I'm a strong believer in the "rule of cool" and story over rules, and I make it my aim to make sure that all of my games are accessible and welcoming to everyone, especially LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC, and women. Above all, I know that we're all here to have fun, so that is my main priority in any game. I encourage any of my players to talk to me if something is not to their liking, and I will do my best to ensure we work out a solution. I look forward to playing with you!

Creating your character
Players will start at Level 1, and we'll be using Point Buy or Standard Array (your choice) to determine stats. Characters will be created together as a group during Session 0, so bring a few character concepts to the table. All officially published Wizards of the Coast 5th Edition material is okay to use, with the exceptions of Spelljammer and Strixhaven. All Critical Role material is also okay to use. I do not allow homebrew or other 3rd party materials (Humblewood, Acquisitions Inc., etc.), just for the sake of keeping everything balanced.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord for voice chat, and Roll20 for dice rolls and maps. Please make sure you have an account with both of these services. Please have a decent, working microphone/headset. Please come to session zero with an idea of the type of character you would like to play.
