About the adventure

CLAIMED BY THE GOD THAT FEEDS In early 2001, a few Agents of Delta Green face an evil too cruel to ignore. They can never turn back from what they see or what they must do to stop it. A night of death leaves them scarred forever. But even as one terror fades, another awakens. The Agents find themselves beset by a power more frightful than Delta Green itself, a force beyond that hungers for unnatural death. A force that hunts horrors like a cat stalking prey. A force that has made the Agents the instruments of its ceaseless devourings. WARNING: This campaign concerns and confronts violence against children! Please read the safety section for more information. DELTA GREEN Deception is a right. Truth is a privilege. Innocence is a luxury. Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert government agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor but without glory. Stripped of sanction after a disastrous 1969 operation in Cambodia, Delta Green's leaders made a secret pact: to continue their work without authority, without support, and without fear. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day - but often at a shattering personal cost. In DELTA GREEN, you are one of those agents. You fight to keep terrors from beyond space and time from infecting the world and claiming human lives and sanity. Choose federal law enforcement. Choose the military. Choose NASA or the CDC. Choose lying to your superiors. Choose to ruin your career. Choose no friends. Choose divorce. Choose life through the bottom of a bottle. Choose destroying evidence and executing innocent people because they know too much. Choose black fatigues and matching gas masks. Choose an MP5 stolen from the CIA loaded with Glasers, with a wide range of attachments. Choose blazing away at mind numbing, sanity crushing things from beyond the stars, wondering whether you'd be better off stuffing the barrel in your own mouth. Choose The King in Yellow and waking up wondering who you are. Choose a 9mm retirement plan. Choose going out with a bang at the end of it all, PGP encrypting your last message down a securely laid cable as an NRO Delta wetworks squad busts through your door. Choose one last Night at the Opera. Choose Delta Green.

About me

My first fateful experience with TTRPGS began in high school, when a friend showed me his copy of Dungeons & Dragons: 3.5 Edition. In that moment - reading through those fantastical pages - I had found the perfect creative outlet that combined my passions for writing, theater, improv, and fantasy. I started the hobby as a player, but I quickly transitioned and embraced my new role as the forever DM. What started over a decade ago with a small group of high school friends playing D&D blossomed into new games, new campaigns, new worlds, and new friends from all over the world. I've had the pleasure of running both official content and worlds of my own design, with countless vibrant settings, complex casts of voiced acted NPCs, and rich, personalized narratives designed around the most important people in any TTRPG - your player character! I take great pride in utilizing my skills to breathe life into a collaborative world where you can take center stage. A world full of intricate characters you care about, where your choices can change their fate as well as the world around you. If you crave a roleplay focused environment with a committed GM who takes the time to interweave your character into a living, breathing world full of interesting characters - come take a seat at my virtual table. I have a wealth of experience running games for players from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. My games are a safe space where all players (including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and Neurodivergent players) are welcome. I love introducing and teaching new players, so if you are new to a particular game, or even to online tabletop role playing games in general - let me be your guide and give one of my games a try!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will help you create your character during a FREE Session Zero. The setup for this particular campaign is a bit unique! One of the player characters will take on the role of a veteran agent of Delta Green. The rest of the player characters will take on the role of new recruit on their first real operation - aka a "Friendly" asset drawn into a tangled web of conspiracy and unnatural horror! By the end of the campaign's prologue chapter, all player characters will be fully fledged agents of Delta Green. I will provide some pre-generated characters as well - you are welcome to use them as they are, customize them, or draw on them for inspiration in crafting your own character. During Session Zero I will also take time to discuss your goals, expectations, and any sensitive content to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. I will also be happy to explain the rules to any new players, if need be.

The current party

One player will take the role of a veteran Delta Green agent. The others will take the role of a "Friendly", a character who has helped Delta Green in the past, but has not yet been formally "read-in" to the Conspiracy. By the end of the prologue chapter, all characters will be fully fledged agents of Delta Green.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should have access to a computer with a stable internet connection and a working microphone. You will also need a free Roll20 account to access the Virtual Tabletop, and a free Discord account to access the Discord Server which will be used for voice and text chat. Basic knowledge of Delta Green's mechanics is helpful but not necessary - Delta Green has a rather simple rules system that is quite easy to learn. If you are already familiar with Call of Cthulhu, you will find Delta Green to be very similar and very easy to pick up.

What Trevor brings to the table

I will handle the virtual tabletop via Roll20, which includes Character Sheets, Multimedia Handouts, Soundtracks/Ambience, and a Automatic Dice-Roller. I will also provide a Discord Server to handle voice chat during session, as well as text chat to discuss the game in-between sessions. I will provide access to the all the information in the Delta Green Agent's Handbook you'll need to start playing, although you are certainly welcome to support the publisher by purchasing the book from Amazon, Drive Thru RPG or via Arc Dream Publishing's website if you so choose.

Safety

How Trevor creates a safe table

BE WARNED This campaign concerns and confronts violence against children. Such subject matter can be far worse, far more personal and awful, than the usual cosmic horrors of Delta Green. Abuse of the helpless is all too present in our world and in the lives of many players. The inclusion of this subject matter is in no way meant to condone such loathsome behavior: the antagonists involved are figurative and literal monsters and are dealt with accordingly. During a FREE Session Zero and throughout the campaign, we will have ongoing discussions of safety tools to ensure that you are always having a safe and enjoyable experience. There will be integrated X,N, and O cards available through Roll20 available for your use. The unthinkable horrors of God's Teeth should only ever scar the character, and not the player. For this game, you should expect ample opportunities for in-character dialogue, investigation, and on occasion fast and sometimes deadly combat. Each session will have at least one 5-10 minute break, although more can be taken if the need arises. After each session ends, I will set aside some time to check in, reflect, discuss, and sincerely listen to your feedback. My goal is to offer you a chance to voice your concerns to me in a safe and inclusive forum. You are also welcome to reach out to me privately with any feedback you might have.
