About the adventure
Join me in creating your very own D&D adventure, where a solo adventurer navigates the world, and perhaps attempts to save it. The genre, themes, and feel of the world will all be selected by you! Based on the information and feedback, I'll create a world that we will explore together. The game will last as long as you are able to play! This long-term campaign will take you on a harrowing journey through vast worlds. Along the way, you will face monstrous beasts, navigate political intrigue, and confront the darkest corners of your past. The fate of the world rests in your hands. The game of choice will be played in D&D 5e 2024 rules. It can be played in any setting but the game will be played with D&D.

About me
Hello friends! I’ve been a Game Master for smaller games of 4-6 players for about 5 years. My favorite aspect of being a GM is world-building and character creation. Thus, I love homebrew content and homebrew worlds. The stories I tell are not just mine, they are told by the players as well. If you would love an action-packed fantasy adventure, with intricate roleplay opportunities, and a story that connects to your character’s backstory, I’m the Game Master for you!

Creating your character
All ancestries and classes are allowed to be played. We will be using dndBeyond to create character sheets, starting at level 1. In addition to starting equipment, you’ll get any basic (nonmagical) armor of your choice, 2 potions of healing, and 500 gp. We'll be using 2024 D&D rules! Rolling for Stats: Using dndbeyond.com you will utilize the group rolling system. Select 3 groups and roll each one on the site. Once you have rolled out all your stats, pick one and assign each number to an ability. If you roll 3 sets that have multiple 7's, 8's or 9's, I'll let you roll one more time for a total of 4 sets. For HP, we'll be doing Fixed/Average HP. All character sheets must be created on dndBeyond. If you don’t have access to content for a specific class or ancestry, once you sign up and get added to my server I’ll send you a “campaign” link that will share my paid content with you. This way I can see your characters, and if I need to give you homebrew magic items or homebrew races, it will be much easier to set things up.
I will post at least once per day, throughout the week. If replies are fast, I will be quick to reply as well. Players will only be charged bi-weekly, but the game will continue throughout the week.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
At the start of our first session, please make sure you've read the information document and bring any ideas for your character backstory. Have a character sheet built and ready to play. If you are confused or need help, reach out to me before the game and I'd be happy to assist! We will be using dndBeyond, Roll20, and Discord. dndBeyond and Roll20 have digital dice options for those who don't have dice at home. Avrae Bot will also be on the server so that you can roll directly on the server with your character sheet for easy access! This campaign is text based, so you'll only need a computer or mobile device to play. I'll send pictures of maps as needed for those without access to a computer.
What Caralight brings to the table
I will be bringing detailed VTT maps for both battles and general roleplaying. I like to give a good idea to my players for what they’re able to interact with (without taking several minutes describing the whole scene for roleplay). I will also have rounded NPCs for your characters to interact with, and possibly fight! In addition, I'll be replying to posts on the discord server every day, with detailed information and incorporating NPC roleplay and responses throughout. These posts will use theater of the mind to describe the layout of areas, and have NPC's reply to questions and give information as needed.

How Caralight creates a safe table
We will be using the Luxton Technique to determine lines and veils, and use X, N, and O cards throughout when we get into more difficult or harsh roleplay scenes. My games are centered around providing a safe and fun environment, so I take triggers and content warnings seriously.
