About the adventure
Crooked Moon is a character-driven folk horror campaign set in a liminal realm between life and death. You and your fellow travelers are stranded in a forgotten country, one haunted by broken myths, reclusive spirits, cursed bloodlines, and unsettling small-town rituals. As you unravel the mystery, you'll begin to learn for yourself that the dead can speak, the gods may sleep, and memory is more dangerous than monsters. This game is perfect for players who love collaborative storytelling, atmospheric roleplay, and moral ambiguity. Expect rich backstory integration, improvisation-friendly play, and a haunting world that reshapes itself around your characters' choices. You don't need to be a horror expert, just curious, kind, and open to getting a little weird.

About me
Hello! Pull up a chair, friend. This world is sorely in need of stories worth telling. A bit of lightness, a bit of courage, a bit of clever wordplay. There's nothing like a roleplaying game to draw out the best in us, and also to let us explore parts of ourselves that rarely see the light. That's why I play. I hope you'll join me! Iām always learning and growing, and I try to read as much as I can about D&D, game design, history, politics, and storytelling. I am a big fan of Dimension20, especially seasons where Aabria Iyengar or Brennan Lee Mulligan are the Dungeon Master.

Creating your character
We are currently at Level 3! My preferred stat method is: You can roll on D&D Beyond, and if you get lower than 72 total in the dice group, you can reroll once. If you still don't like your results, you can use Standard Array or Point Buy. Standard Array is the safety net if the dice fail you. Please do not roll more than 2 dice groups. Help yourself to the player options on D&D Beyond once you join the campaign! A campaign join link will give you access to: 13 Species... Ashborn Azureborn Bogborn Curseborn Deepborn Gnarlborn Graveborn Harvestborn Plagueborn Relicborn Silkborn Stoneborn Threadborn 15 Subclasses... Barbarian: Path of the Experiment Bard: College of Whistles Cleric: Harvest Domain Druid: Circle of the Old Ways Druid: Circle of Wicker Fighter: Barrow Guard Monk: Warrior of the Pestilent Haze Paladin: Oath of Castigation Ranger: Grim Harbinger Rogue: Sinner Sorcerer: Crimson Sorcery Warlock: Great Fool Patron Warlock: Horned King Patron Wizard: Occultist Wizard: Philosopher 13 Backgrounds... What Isaac brings to the table
No matter your experience level, I set a welcoming, inviting tone at my games. Your questions are good, your baggage from your last game is not too much, your experience matters to me! Pull up a chair, friend. I have a Master Tier D&D Beyond account and a Plus Monthly Roll20 account, so all your digital needs will be taken care of. I have both the Player Options book and the Monster/Campaign book on D&D Beyond, so we are set to go. Iām a musician and an artist at heart, so I love incorporating graphic design elements, musical soundtracks and ambient noise, beautiful maps, and character art to enhance the experience of the game. I think the biggest thing I bring to the table is a flair for the dramatic. I was a musical theater kid in high school. Character voices. Storytelling. High drama. Heartrending conflict. This is the stuff I like. Very much. I try to keep a good balance of combat and roleplaying (40-50% of game time) with some exploration and puzzles thrown in for flavor (5-10%). Sometimes one session ends up with more of one than the others, and Iām happy to adjust based on feedback. The Rule of Cool is a very important part of my style. If something will move the story forward in a cool way, I may not even have you roll for it. Iāve been learning that rolling too much can be a real barrier to more important things, like the narrative and the dramatic moment.
