About me
I've been in love with TTRPG's since the first time I sat down to play with friends after school 15 years ago! That initial sense of freedom and wonder at being able to craft wonderful stories and go on adventures with those around me on the fly has never left since that day. Itās become something Iāve wanted to share with anybody I get the chance to, pushing me to become a game master so I could make the perfect space for all of my other friends to get to have the same kind of wonderful experience I did when I first started playing tabletop games! After a decade+ of long spanning campaigns with my friends, and making new friends along the way I realized Iām never having more fun than when I see big smiles on all of my players' faces, or hearing them talk excitedly after a game. I realized itās become more than just a hobby for me, itās what I want to do in order to make a difference in the world. I want to meet new people, make new friends, and give them a safe space where they can tell the stories they want to tell together, and thatās what brought me here! So come on in and take a seat! Creating your character
We will be selecting one of the 12 knights from the Mythic Bastionlands quickstart to make things go a bit faster, though after the session I will happily go into detail what the usual character creation will be like.

I ask that my players all have a ForgeVTT and discord account set up for when I invite them to my server.
What Derrick brings to the table
I bring colorful battlemaps, tailored stories and worlds that match the party within them, personalized soundscapes to match the campaign and an open door policy so we can talk about how to give you the best experience in ongoing games.
Homebrew rules
I will be having the players start off as Knights Gallant, so they will be stronger (but more importantly not more complex) to give a slight buffer as we learn the mechanics of the game.

How Derrick creates a safe table
I use Lines and Veils to ensure anything that may trigger my players gets handled, and I do not tolerate harassment of any sort within my games. We will also all get together in a session 0 to discuss expectations, and on occasion we'll be using stars and wishes. I am bi and use he/him pronouns, and I run a LGBT+ and POC inclusive game We take a 10 minute break every session to let folks get a snack and use the bathroom!
