Graham as a Daggerheart gamemaster brings Creativity, Collaboration and Compelling Storytelling to the very forefront every session. Has a great gift for reading the player's intent and implementing it into the greater narrative of the story. Best of all, would recommend highly to anyone playing in a Daggerheart game as his clear and present understanding of the system along with his natural flexibility makes him a delight for veterans and newbies alike. Looking forward to many more sessions!
Graham has been such a great DM for me and my party over the past five years, running a full 1-20 Dungeons & Dragons campaign (2014 rules), and then picking us up with the 2024 rules in a new campaign. He helped us build our own homebrew world for the campaigns, and worked with us throughout to make sure we always felt connected to our setting. Graham has been super supportive and encouraging of both players' and characters' queerness, disability and neuro divergence, and takes on feedback enthusiastically - he has always made me feel safe and like I have a voice. I've had the pleasure of introducing Graham to other friends who play D&D, and he's a keen player in one-shots and campaigns. He embraces improvisation, keeps momentum going, and learns from the play-styles of other DMs. He's fun, and he wants everyone at the table - no matter their experience level - to have fun, too. Shenanigans are encouraged; I'll never forget the time my cleric tried to throw a Polymorph Potion into an ancient gold dragon's mouth to turn it into a cow mid-battle. Highly recommend.
Graham is one of my favourite DMs I've ever had the privilege of playing with. As a Rules Lawyer myself, I know how good it feels to meet and play with others that actually know and understand the rules, but even better when they know when and how to apply them to keep the game fun, creative and interesting. Graham does this! As a player, I like my adventures to challenge me, both in combat, and in thinking and resolving issues throughout the adventure. Graham achieves this effortlessly it seems! As a person, Graham is just a really nice and approachable guy, with passion for the game, and all around good vibes.
I've had the privilege of being on Graham's table several times over the last few years and every time they are just as fun and exciting as the one before and always seems to find a way of catching me off guard and surprising me or others when they have a chance. brilliant at telling a story and worldbuilding.
Words alone can not describe how great a DM Graham is; however, numbers can: 10/10. He is an incredibly fun DM who, as far as I know, has run every system under the sun. Whether you're fighting bears in basements in DND, fighting Bears in the forest in Daggerheart, or just flirting with MERVO THE MAGICIAN in Candela Obscura, Graham has a very ecclectic style and will find a way to challenge you. Graham has proven himself to be fiercely defensive of LGBT+ and neurodivergent players and has always had a very inclusive table. I can not recommend him enough to do him due credit. Hire this DM, please.
I've played on Graham's table for close to 2 years now, and every time is a blast. He's brilliant a crafting an engaging story from start to finish, with exciting (and, importantly, well balanced!) combat that leaves room for players to come up with their own creative solutions. Graham is also a walking TTRPG encyclopaedia, and is almost always my go-to for rules questions - with a real knack for explaining them to beginners in a simple, clear way. Would highly recommend joining one of Graham's games if you get the chance!
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will be created together during session 0 so we can create connections. I will provide a link to join my group on DnD Beyond so you get access to all the rulebooks.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Read the rules for DnD. We will use Discord, Roll 20, and DnD Beyond. Create accounts for these. Please have a functioning microphone. Webcam optional.
What Graham Day brings to the table
I have strong improv skills and will work with you to involve your character in the narrative. I make sure you feel like a hero in the story and create a collaborative story with you. I have extensive experience of running tabletop games in both long campaigns as well as one shots. I'll bring that experience to your game to make sure you have a great experience. My games are suitable for all ages, which means you can expect a thrilling and fun game for everyone to enjoy. Expect a tone similar to Lord of the Rings, or a Marvel movie. I get fully invested into playing characters. I make sure every character is diverse and can be easily identified from each other. I am a proud advocate for neurodiverse and LGBT+ people. This is a safe space for everyone.

How Graham Day creates a safe table
If we're doing a campaign, we'll do a session 0 to go over everything and ensure we're all happy with the potential content involved in the game. If a one shot, you can message me beforehand to make me aware of anything important. If anything happens during the session that makes you uncomfortable, speak up or send me a private message and I'll sort it out straight away. We will take a break halfway through the session at a suitable moment. After the session we'll go over your Stars and Wishes to get positive/constructive feedback.
