About the adventure

Gary and Chicago are the two cities around which the vampires of the northern United States are in the fiercest of conflicts. Prince Lodin of Chicago is powerful and brutal and quite contested. This is January 1991. The eighties ended, and you are a vampire. Whether you are the kind that simply survives night after night, the kind that seeks to protect the things still held dear from mortal life, the kind devoured by ambition, you are young, and you need mutual protection. This is a game of personal and political horror, and you are one horror among many.

About me

I've been playing RPGs for twelve years, D&D, VTM, Shadowrun and Exalted. I'm a professional actor and stage director and love storytelling, roleplaying and game-designing. It's always an honor to play with new people. I'll be running French and English-speaking games of D&D, Shadowrun, Exalted and Vampire the Masquerade

Slimmy has made out game such a fun experience. He’s always prepared & rolls with changes. He’s also been incredibly patient with me as I learn the ropes. Check out one of his games!

Having played with Slimmy for years now, he is undoubtedly one of the best GMs out there. His acting background comes into play to help him bring NPCs to life in all the best way, while he weaves narration and game mechanics to bring the "roleplaying" and "game" together in a terrific fashion. I would strongly recommend him to anyone after a game featuring an active and reactive world rich with consequences to the players' actions.

Safety
How Slimmy creates a safe table

Session 0 will be in two parts. First is the safety tools that will be used, which we will discuss in details. No tool is off the table, and I believe in adapting the tools used for the needs of the table. To spare me the HOURS that would be required listing all the content warnings: Vampire the Masquerade is a game about predation. You are the predators, and you are also preyed upon. Vampires come from all sorts of time periods and often carry their prejudices through the centuries. Vampires have created one of the most opaque and oppressive societies imaginable, where essentially your elders have all the rights and you have close to none. You drain blood, you lose control of yourself, and you kill. And the Chicago-Gary setting is about urban decay and the collapse that follows. Violence and substance abuse follow.
