Calvin was super patient with me as an absolute beginner and really good at explaining how to navigate the character sheet. I was glad to have a low-stress entry into DnD. He made sure to check in regularly to see if players had any questions about gameplay and ensured that we got the explanations we needed.
Character creation
Creating your character
New players will begin level 2. Use whatever method of HP/Ability point generation that you like. There are no restrictions of race or class, but reach out if you would like to add any homebrew content. Although players are welcome to use their preferred method of character creation, I will mainly be using D&D Beyond to keep all player's character sheets organized. I own all source books on D&D Beyond if players are looking to add something specific. I am more than happy to assist with character creation if you are new to D&D Beyond or D&D in general. Please reach out on the Discord channel if you have any questions of issues.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Mic is required, webcam is encouraged. A device capable of running the Zoom platform. You will need a character created by the start of the session, as we will not have time to create one during the game. Both digital and physical dice are accepted.
What Calvin brings to the table
I will share the link for the D&D Beyond Campaign after you're signed up. Through that, I will be able to assist in character creation and work with you on special request. I will also create the Zoom meeting and post it in the Discord server or through the chat available though here. I will provide some information in the Discord server for further reading if you are interested. Any additional material for the session will be shared over Zoom or Discord.

How Calvin creates a safe table
Players can expect a unique streamlined seafaring adventure every time they join a session. They will choose a crew to join on a voyage and immediately set sail to the quest. In this living environment, returning players that have enough experience will be capable of choosing roles on the ship and have a larger impact on the sea travel and decisions of the ship. Players are encouraged to communicate any concerns or issues they have during the session to me either through the gaming platform or by a direct message.
