About the adventure
Full Campaign - Levels 1 to 10 Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came—all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.

About me
I love this game, and I pour all of that passion into every single session. As a voice actor and storyteller, my games have a big role-playing element in the form of accents, voices, mannerisms and colourful descriptions. However, I make a point of it to make everyone feel comfortable to roleplay however they want. D&D and other TTRPGs are one of the most extraordinary experiences available to humans - I really believe this. I started my professional career as a theatre actor around age 16 and moved on to become a director in my early 20s. I quickly concluded that any production (stage play, movie etc.) will always be richer and more meaningful to those who participate in its creation vs those who just have to passively watch. Fast-forward a few years - I found roleplaying games. A wonderful mix of acting, storytelling, worldbuilding, art, tactics, problem solving, socializing and psychological exploration that allows any person to be an integral part of creating the story - truly an evolved form of our most primal art. Creating your character
- I will discuss the world, setting, lore and character possibilities privately with each player on Discord. After which, you will have enough info to go off and create a character. - The adventure will start at level 1. Players are free to create characters on any platform, as long as you can send me a character sheet in some form. I highly recommend the app; Fight Club 5 by Lion's Den. - I am more than happy to help anyone with character creation if they need it.

How JC creates a safe table
- Session 0 and character creation will be done over group and private chat on discord - Players can expect to follow all the rules as written for the 5th edition. - However, in the event that no one at the table is entirely sure of the exact rule for a situation, I will generally come up with what makes thematic sense at the moment, rather than waste a lot of time looking for the specific rule. - I am also very open to the "rule of cool", especially in regards to players using tools, terrain and environment in creative ways. - I like to speed up combat by using the "on-deck" method, i.e players being prepped for their turn ahead of time. - Combat in my games is also story-driven, as such the descriptions of spells and fighting are colourful and there are often extra elements (terrain, weather, magical effects, traps, time-crunch etc.) that form part of combat encounters. - Most of all, creativity will always be rewarded and fun is always the main goal.
