About the adventure

Come and play DaggerHeart and experience the fun of this cinematic roleplaying game were you are encouraged to think out side the box and come up with fun ways to use your characters skills and ability's. Daggerheart is a game all about having fun and telling a great story together over letting the mechanics hinder your creativity. You want to leap off that building and drop a fireball on all the enemies? Lets go! You and the rogue want to double team the boss why not! This game system is set up to unleash the players and GMs imagination and help everyone build off of each other to make a thrilling story driven game. One of the best parts of Daggerheart is how it recommends that the players be a part of the world building, That way it is not the GMs world but the whole groups. So come and join in on all the fun!

About me

I have been a GM for over 10 years and have run several different styles of games. From hack and slash to deep story driven campaigns where players get to play out their character's goals and ambitions, while making an incredible collaborative story that will be remembered for years to come. When my players surprise me by coming at a problem from an unexpected direction, and completely derailing what I have planned is one of my favorite parts. I love this because it keeps me on my toes and sometimes the best parts of the story come from times like these. As a GM I take the role of stage setter and guide. So please come and share your stories on my stage. I look forward to running a game or campaign for you and your friends or a group of complete strangers that will become friends.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players are welcome to come with a character already made but we will be going over character creation as a group so you may need to wait a bit until the other players get there character made to a point that we can start making connections each character has to each other. We will be starting at level 1 unless the group decides they would like to start higher then that. In our first session, (called a Session 0) We will do introductions, discuses/decide what kind of game fits best for the whole group by talking about what type of story and style of play everyone is wanting from the game, Caracter creation and everyone will get to help out with the world building by adding key locations and other information to the world. I will also be sharing access to the rules via my Demiplane account. That will give all players access to the full rules and the character creator on demiplane.com

The current party

The group is level 4. We are playing the Dry lands campaign frame and the group has taken down 4 of the colossi. The group consists of a Rogue, Wizard, Bard and a Brawler. They like a good mix of roleplay and combat. We would love to have another adventurer to help face these mountainous threats. This game is a 2.5 hour session each week. I will need to do a paid one on one session (Same price as the game) to get a new player set up to join us for the next session. That session takes 90 minutes. So please be aware that if you request to join with less time then that before the session then you will need to wait until next weeks session to join in. Please message me with any questions.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All players need to have a mic. I recommend using Demiplane for character sheets as it does a good job and does not require you to print out all of cards or character sheet. But players are welcome to use paper and pen if that is your preference. Please come with an account for Discord, Roll20 and Demiplane ready to go.

How Tyler creates a safe table

All of my games are set to pg13 standards unless the whole group would like to make it more or less graphic. We will discus this and see if there are any specific request for things the anyone would like us to avoid. Players are also welcome to message me if they do not want bring up with the rest of the group. I like to use the lines and vails approach and ask that all players let me know if at any time during the game something is making anyone feel uncomfortable. The group can pick how long we would like to play for prior to our first session I have the price listed for a 3 hour game but I am happy to adjust the time to fit what the group would preferer. I charge $10 per hour. We will be doing a session 0 as the system recommends. As part of that we will set the type of game the group would like to play. I have 2 custom worlds that we can play in or we can make one from scratch using the mechanics of DaggerHeart. Next we will start character creation and then using the rules make character connections to other characters and also add your own details to the world map. Then once we are done with the all the session 0 questions we will some practice combat with what ever time we have left.
