About the adventure

Oops it looks like the party members are all dragons in this variation of the Dragon Delves adventures that continues into the Memory of the First World series that I'm writing to publish! A level 1 to 20 campaign, you will delve into various draconic issues as you grow in power and size to match those problems head on. Play as a Dragon You will be able to play as a dragon species in this game, growing in size as you level up to take on new challenges with new and unique difficulties. All types of dragons are available to be selected here - from chromatic to metallic to gemstone and even oddities like deep and moonstone dragons. Conquer your foes with a variety of breath attacks, pummel them with strong rending bites and claws, or cast limited magic alongside your normal class features. Dragon Delves Remade Track down dragons like a dragon - seek the signs of lairs while removing issues that could lead to the death of your charge. Dragon Delves has been remade with the mindset of a party of dragons taking on the situation or stumbling into it - depending on what hijinks the Copper dragons come up with! Expect this experience to be different than a normal run of Dragon Delves! Memory of the First World In the Treasury of Dragons, we were given the Eulogy of the First World, a glimpse into a past that can never been seen again. Or can it? Sardior's shattering was not a light one for the Gem Greatwyrms and the sudden appearance of a ruby dragon egg has garnered their attention. Trek through the trials and tribulations as you seek to mend the marring on ancient history to find out the truth of what happened to the First World. Play-by-Post Format Asynchronous gameplay, play-by-post is a unique way to play a ttrpg game through the use of text and images on your own time rather than at a set time. Gameplay of this nature is typically slower than that of a normal session but instead gets to become deeper in narrative as roleplay takes the front lead in this format. You can expect a major update two to three times a week with minor updates, such as conversation, combat, or small gm check-ins, happening frequently throughout the day. Of course, you can always host more frequent interactions with your fellow dragons as well!

About me

Some dragons hoard gold. Others hoard gemstones. While I never will turn down such hoards, I hoard stories - a hoard that grows with each passing day. As a long-term roleplay writer, I enjoy creating new stories and curating prewritten ones to fit the tone or purpose of my stories, parties, and games. I have been type-roleplaying for many years, being part of the forum roleplay groups back in the age of Gaia Online and other similar groups. Since then, I have been writing posts that expressed the inner workings, the active actions, and the pointed conversations of hundreds of complex characters. This is only amplified when compiling them together to form a story that is reactive and interactable from a group seeking the next dawn. I have a corgi familiar named Fenrir who often enjoys giving me the Help action and is a mini-celebrity amongst my players, often having a related npc or party pet that represents Fenrir and his antics. I value narrative context and will do my best to fit the mechanics to the narrative you want. This has led me to curating and crafting custom content - often referred to as homebrew - for several games, players, and even other game masters. I do my best to not include AI generated imagery in my live games, choosing to not use such images for advertisement and actively replacing any edge/unknown cases with commissioned pieces, and often support growing artists in my communities. I also do not use AI in any of my play-by-post messages. This provides a raw experience to my creative inspirations.

What is there not to say about how wonderful Onyx is as a Game Master? They are wonderful at storytelling, very active, and super detailed with all her posts. The duet they run for me is one of the best and most immersive experiences I've had in a long long time, and I am proud to have her as a close confidant and friend. I look forward to every post they make and I look forward to future RP with them for the foreseeable future.

Always willing to work with players and hash out details or events for them to be able to feel part of a a story and not railroaded.

Onyx is a fantastic GM in any setting. I have played in two different campaign settings with her and both have been amazing. Shes incredibly player focused without diminishing the dangers to the PC's. I highly encourage everyone to try one of her games, you won't be disappointed!

I'm going to expand this eventually because there's just so much I can say about this wonderful GM. I've known onyx for a long time; we've been RP buddies for ages! Onyx can do many things. In fact, anything you want, usually, be it a classic fantasy game, science fiction, horror. If it fits in her schedule, she can do voice or live text, and she can also do play-by-post, at your speed. She is creative, she's great at worldbuilding and at making realistic NPCs who react realistically. Shes amazing at painting a picture with words. Give Onyx's games a try! The adorable dog pics are the cherry on top!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

In this game you will be required to have a (free) Discord account. You will also be highly recommended to connect a (free) D&DBeyond account to you discord account and join in one of my shared campaigns in order to take advantage of spell automation. Players may create their characters on D&DBeyond, Dicecloud (v1), Dicecloud (v2), or manually inputting the details of a character sheet on discord. D&DBeyond and Dicecloud offer methods to using Avrae, our discord bot, for automation. However, it is not a requirement in my game. More details, including a learn as you play rundown on how the mechanics work in play-by-post, will be provided upon joining the discord server (found in the prep notes for the adventure)!

What Onyx (Megan) brings to the table

Mechanically, you can expect: - Official WotC Content - Custom Content Crafted for DDB or Dicecloud depending on the format you wish to use. - In-depth knowledge of how to use Avrae, Discord, DDB, and Dicecloud Narratively, you can expect: - Realistic NPCs - An evolving world that reacts to your actions and presence - A storyline that weaves in elements of your own plots and narratives - A multi-ending adventure based on the choices you make throughout it - An open mind regarding rules to fit the narrative of your collective story

Homebrew rules

Dragon Species I will be providing a unique Dragon species which will have various powers depending on your level and species. As you complete each task, you will also receive a Draconic Boon which will improve your abilities or grant you new traits as a dragon. This does mean that this game will be more of a power fantasy than normal gameplay. This power up is maintained through unique narrative struggles of being a young dragon and growing at an unusual rate while still interacting with humanoid settlements. Awkwardness will be reflected in early versions of strong mechanics as they are introduced. A full discussion over what the Dragon species provides is granted on the game discord. Other Homebrew I will be reviewing homebrew on a case-by-case basis. However, there typically needs to be three things in order to be considered for approval found on the homebrew. - The homebrew must be compatible with 2024 rules. - The homebrew must fulfill a fantasy or niche that the normal rules do not grant. - The homebrew must not be only mechanics and should include some flavor, ribbon, or fluff context. If there is a homebrew you are looking to use, please prepare a pdf or image of the whole homebrew segment and if the homebrew is a 3rd party a link to their work. You will be expected to be able to maintain the use of the homebrew through the adventure. I hold the right to alter any homebrew presented to better fit the campaign setting or power.

Safety
How Onyx (Megan) creates a safe table

Avrae has a Safety Tool workshop that I use for all of my games. Simply type [!safety stop] to throw up an X card anonymously if you ever feel like the situation is to that point. On the subject of dragons, they are meant to represent the truest forms of human sins. While greed and pride are the easiest one to see, they also showcase gluttony, wrath, lust, envy, and sloth. In some cultures, they can also represent virtues as well, but most are granted at least one of these sins to keep them understandable in narration. This can lead to certain struggles or content warnings that are unique to this narrative and may end up being triggers to bleed - or moments where something externally ends up influencing the actions or statements of something in game. I highly recommend keeping an open conversation with me in your private provided channels to ensure that you are having a fun time. Finally, keep in mind that some tables may function differently than others. If I make a decision and you don't enjoy the decision, please come to me privately.
