About the adventure
Fight the various mob bosses in the cyberpunk future of Shin-Seoul, blackmail the rich corporate jaebuls, and infiltrate the grimdark Nuke Corea. That's not all. While the bones of the campaign are planned, I add the meat after hearing your backstories, so let's build the world together! As a Professional Korean American GM, I have incorporated Korean themes, history, music, and monsters into many of my one-shots and campaigns for years! Join this tried and true custom homebrew campaign now catered to your backstory! No, you don't have to speak Korean and you don't have to know anything about Korean culture. First and foremost, this is a sci-fi world and it just has Korean elements in it so things are flexible. All you need is an open and respectful mind to explore and learn! As your Korean American GM, I will be your guide the entire way :) Your character can be from Corea and we can flesh out backgrounds together. Or your character can be from other cultures you're more familiar with and they are here on a new adventure, anything works! I believe combat should be unique! Most combats I run have an alternative combat objective, so while some might focus on the fighting, others can focus on trash-talking enemies, saving lives, destroying the environment, or causing strategic chaos! I will say my favorite part of the game is role-playing and storytelling, so the more you put into the character, the more I have to work with. I also love improvised roleplay so happy to explore character moments with players. I also know roleplaying all at the same time could be difficult online, so I like to have roleplaying moments where I move the spotlight around with prompts to each player. I often ask things such as "What are each of you doing for the rest of the night?" or "What do each of you do while X is happening?" But most important of all is safety and respect. New players, POC, LGBTQIA+, all members are welcome. We are here to have a good time so for safety I will be sending out a Safety and Consent Checklists survey.

About me
My name is Joong Won Pyo (Joong - June like the month, Won - like Won a game, Pyo - The letter P and Yo man)! I have mainly been an in-person professional GM in LA but also GM'ed in South Korea and in the army! I hope to bring my various backgrounds in writing, acting, serving in the military, business school, being multilingual, and overall chipper personality to being the best GM for you! Frankly, I am better at adapting to my players' stories than writing my own, so I want many of my campaigns to be based on what the players want rather than what I write. So if any players have any stories they want to explore, that fuels my creativity! But most important of all is safety and respect. New players, POC, LGBTQIA+, etc, all members are welcome. Creating your character
If you have a character backstory in mind that fits this sci-fi setting, let me know! That way, we can collaborate and see how I can write hooks for your character. Characters will start at Level 1. New players can schedule a time to create characters together with me or it can be done together during Session 0. Experienced players can just send me their character sheets ahead of time for approval with a brief explanation of how they created their characters. Please list everything. (Spells, feats, equipment, any variant rules, etc). I am usually okay with uncommon or rare traits, but the only ones I say "no" to are the ones that can read minds or see the future. Please also send me images of your character ahead of time so I can make them into tokens.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcams are not required. Mics are needed. You just need a Chrome browser as we will be using FoundryVTT. Please make an account for Discord and forge-vtt. We can go over how to use Foundry and other basic rules for our Session 0.
