About the adventure
The world of Asterlay was born from the intertwined awakening of pearls of power; entities destined to exist in pairs. Time and consciousness, order and chaos: each force exists only through the presence of its opposite. In this multiverse, war was never between good and evil, but between differing visions of existence. Titans became planes, gods fell and were sealed away, and magic itself was stained with shades of gray. Asterlay, the central world, is both a refuge and a battlefield for imperfect ideals, shaped by dragons who learned(perhaps too late) that even absolute power needs limits. Here, every action is an echo of ancient broken balances, and every hero or villain is merely a fragment of the whole: not pure, not corrupt, simply necessary.

About me
I've been playing D&D 5e since 2018, as a player here and there but I've been consistently dming for friends for about a year now, I've always had a passion for storytelling and helping people express themselves through stories I know and understand tabletop games are the perfect outlet for it.

Creating your character
We are doing a session zero (free of charge) so that we can create characters in conjunction, the method is whatever the player likes better (either point buy or dice rolling) but will be starting at level 3 with 2 feats (which I can talk more in detail during session zero) most homebrew is allowed but should always be ran by me first.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you create an account on Discord and Roll20 possibly downloading the discord app for easier communication but however that works best for you.
What Rodrigo Melendez brings to the table
I'm usually a rule of cool GM until the situation arises for me to use the rules, I like running theater of the mind but I don't mind running tactical encounters every now and then. Background music I usually have my own on spotify but I can share a jam if we're all in accordance.
Homebrew rules
drinking potions is a bonus action, I as a GM will roll death saves for players, feel free to bring up possible rules you want implemented during session zero.

Safety
How Rodrigo Melendez creates a safe table
I will prepare a link to a questionnare listing lists of topics to steer away from which will be entirely anonymous, as well as using cards/ actions in game for players to interject if a topic is about to cross a boundary for us to move on, no questions asked. I will also have DMs open at all times to ensure privacy and that I can tend to each player's needs as they arise. After sessions I will have a moment to have a brief talk with whoever needs it and I will make sure to keep triggers in mind to hopefully de escalate any strong feelings after the session.
