Sharing stories around the tavern | Pick up one shots July 12
Play through your players stories as you jump into a new adventure throwing a bit of embellishment on the tale.
About the adventure
This will be a one-shots that may run about 1-4 sessions long. keep the same character or try something new. These are hop in hop out sessions. can't make next session, no worries. "As you take a seat at the table in the bustling tavern, you find yourself surrounded by a group of adventurers, each with their own unique look and personality. A half-elf bard strums a lute and regales the group with a tale of his daring escape from a band of goblin kidnappers, while a grizzled dwarf warrior recounts a tale of a battle against a fearsome dragon deep in the mountains. The smell of ale and roasted meats wafts through the air, and you can hear the clinking of tankards and the sound of laughter and conversation all around you. The walls of the tavern are adorned with weapons, shields, and other memorabilia, evidence of the many adventures and battles that have taken place here. As you listen to the tales being told, your mind begins to wander, imagining the thrill of adventure and the rush of battle. The stories of danger and excitement fuel your imagination, and you find yourself longing to embark on your own quest, to face danger and test your mettle against the forces of darkness. The adventurers at the table continue to swap stories, each one more unbelievable than the last, and you can feel the excitement building within you. As the night wears on and the drinks continue to flow, you begin to feel like part of the group, bonded by the shared experience of adventure and the thrill of the unknown."

About me
Friendly & neurodivergent GM who has been playing tabletop for over 10 years; known as Brian or Lava(online). For my games I act, employ voices, and love to engage players in anything they need. I love DND 5E, DMing has become a passion and it is something I take seriously at trying to be the best DM that I can. I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly! Now using local currency prices! *-----------------------------------------------------------* GOALS ON THE SITE: I am looking to create a full time experience to my players at high quality value. Eventually I am looking to have a small number of tables in order to give more attention and time to the players/tables. I love to focus on quality and engagement with my players. *-----------------------------------------------------------*

Storytelling
World Builder
If you're lucky enough to play in a campaign run by Brian, treasure every session—because this is what role-playing games are meant to be. From the very first game, it was clear that he had an extraordinary grasp of storytelling, world-building, and player engagement. The world Brian crafted was rich with lore, brimming with detail, and alive with dynamic NPCs who felt just as real and fleshed out as our own characters. Whether we were deep in the political intrigue of a crumbling kingdom or trudging through the eerie silence of an abandoned city, every setting was immersive and full of possibilities. What really sets Brian apart is their ability to balance narrative depth with player agency. Our decisions mattered—not just in combat, but in shaping the world itself. Story arcs evolved based on our actions, and consequences—both good and bad—always felt earned. Even off-the-cuff improvisations by the party were seamlessly woven into the narrative tapestry, often becoming major plot points down the line. Mechanically, Brian runs a tight and fair game. Combat is challenging, tactical, and never drags; puzzles are clever and rewarding; and every encounter—be it social, exploration, or battle—feels intentional and well-paced. They have a gift for reading the table, keeping everyone engaged, and adapting to the group's playstyle and energy. Above all, Brian fosters a gaming environment that is inclusive, respectful, and collaborative. New players feel welcomed and supported, while veterans are given room to shine. There’s laughter, drama, surprise, and a genuine sense of camaraderie every time we gather around the table. If you're considering joining a game run by Brian, stop considering and do it. You’re in for a truly unforgettable adventure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — 10/10 would get blown up again!

We will be using Roll 20 where everything is available

How Brian creates a safe table
I allow anyone to reach out to me if they need to discuss something and I will be available to reach at any time. That being said we will have a session 0 to be sure that the table works well together. Lines: I allow the topic of discussion of sex but I will not be describing scenes, however if this gets out of hand or becomes a clear discomfort to another player I will speak to you about it and submit required reprimanding. Causing direct discomfort to another player is not allowed. General discriminatory behavior is not allowed at my table against players and will result in an immediate removal from the game. (Transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, racism, xenophobia, cont.) Understand that everyone is at the table to play TOGETHER and that it is not one person's story but the parties. The DM has final say over any situation. I welcome feedback from the party but I have the final word. Non planned/consensual PVP is not allowed at the table. Meta gaming is not allowed(Must separate character knowledge and player knowledge) Veils: Hijinks amongst players characters in the story. Joking atmosphere allowed the same as a comedy club(upon consent to play at the table after session 0) Other rules: I expect players to be in charge of their characters and abilities. I typically run experience by milestone. For character creation we will be taking a vote for stat allocation. Rolls, Standard, Point-buy. Players will retain their player agency and can flavor something to how they would like but we will use the mechanics of the game to solidify game play. Anything else beyond this will be discussed during session 0 and I am open to questions that are not detailed here.
