About the adventure

Year 5015U. Planet Cressidium. They were just supposed to be security for a diplomatic assignment. A bunch of fresh-faced Union pilots learning the ropes on a low-stakes mission. Now they've been roped into the middle of a planetary conflict. In order to complete their mission-- in order to survive-- they will have to become more than just mere pilots. They will have to adapt, improve, and ascend. They will have to become LANCERS. Lancer RPG is a tactical mech RPG where you play the role of a pilot of a mechanized chassis (otherwise known as a MECH). You build your own mech and deploy in dynamic, tactical combat scenarios. Leveling up unlocks new licenses that provide you with new specialized frames, weapons, and systems from standard assault rifles to guns that break the laws of reality itself. Lancer also provides a basic system to play out the things your pilot does during downtime, giving plenty of opportunities for exploration and roleplay. The campaign will be a mix of the official modules Operation Solstice Rain and Operation Winter Scar, as well as custom missions to expand into a full campaign. This campaign will be a war story. While there will be lighthearted moments in between, this is a story about loss, prejudice, conflict, and how people endure in such conditions. It will include tactical combat and meaningful roleplay opportunities as you help the people of a war-torn country fight for their lives and resist their oppressors.

About me

Greetings wanderer. Care for a story? I've been playing and running a variety of TTRPGS for about 5 years. I'm an avid enjoyer of all kinds of fiction and storytelling, whether it be a science fiction flight through uncharted systems, or a fantasy adventure of epic porportions. What I love more than anything else is being able to share and tell stories with other like-minded people.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will happen during session zero. Players will start at LL0 (License Level 0) and will be created or imported in Foundry VTT. It is highly recommended that players create and manage their characters in Comp/Con but it is not essential.

The current party

Currently at LL3. Current party consists of a heavy striker/defender, an evasive striker, and a control/support.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have Discord and a working microphone. I also highly recommend the Comp/Con webapp as a reliable player companion for Lancer.

What DaJoBi brings to the table

I use ambient or thematic music, do character voices, run tactical combat, and dabble in a bit of the Rule of Cool from time to time.

Safety

How DaJoBi creates a safe table

I establish Lines and Veils during session zero via voice chat and direct messages. I keep open communication with players and also employ X cards.
