About the adventure
This 1-hour webinar will cover making and implementing puzzles in Roll20, and will include: -A discussion of how to justify puzzles in TTRPG gameplay -Using tokens, rollable tables, and maps to increase interactivity -Including non-map interfaces via maps -Case studies based on puzzles I created and ran in my own games -A Q&A session During this talk, I will draw heavily on my experience of running 20+ sessions of a puzzle-heavy Power Rangers campaign, though the basic concepts can be used for other types of games. Furthermore, while GMs of all skill and experience levels are welcome, beginner GMs are the most likely to benefit from this webinar.

About me
Greetings, adventurers! Like most DMs, I got started as a player and then experimented with one-shots. As someone who writes plenty of horror, I'm happy to run creepy, thrilling, or terrifying adventures, especially around Halloween. I'm equally excited to run low-stakes shenanigans and puzzle-based gameplay. Sometimes I homebrew, and sometimes I draw on premade settings or adventures. But no matter what, I'll make sure everyone at the table is included and having a good time (no matter what mishaps are befalling your characters)

What to expect
Preparing for the session
This will be a virtual seminar via Google Meets. I'll also have a thread set up in my Discord for link access, plus communicating before + after the webinar. Being familiar with Roll20 is a plus, but I'm only planning to do a slideshow with screenshots, so already having a Roll20 account isn't strictly necessary.
What Julia LaFond brings to the table
I'll be giving an approximately one-hour virtual presentation + Q&A in Google Meets about how to implement puzzles in Roll20. The slides will be available in the dedicated Discord thread within my server.

How Julia LaFond creates a safe table
The content warnings for this webinar are deep water (due to discussion of a plank puzzle) and violence (partly due to discussing combat, partly due to a minesweeper puzzle). Since this will be a webinar, the primary safety tool will be an open door policy: anyone can step away at any time for any reason, and whether or not they return, it will be without judgment. In addition, my Discord DMs are open in case participants have questions, anticipate issues, or need to alert me to a problem during the live presentation.
