About the adventure

The city lies under siege by an endless horde of the undead. As quickly as the bodies fall they rise again, battering the city walls, driving the last remnants of hope from the hearts of its defenders. But salvation is within your grasp. Just one mile from the city walls looms the Obsidian Spire, a dark and ancient tower. The source of the undead plague lies within, pulsing with malevolent energy, controlled by the sinister Lich who has made it their throne. Your mission? Gather your courage, form a strike team, and storm the Lich’s lair before the next wave of undead brings the city to its knees. Navigate treacherous traps, battle fierce guardians, and confront the Lich in their Sanctum. Only then can the endless cycle of death be broken.

Game style

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Dungeon Crawl

A “Dungeon Crawl” is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

How to prepare

Join the D&D Beyond Campaign, Roll20 Game & Discord Server, create your character and make sure you're internet and mic is working!

What I provide

This game has custom maps (via roll20), my DM style is very rule of cool and encourage discussion if you disagree with a ruling. I do limited voices (best to my ability) and am very good with ad-libbing content, so lets be creative!

Gameplay details

My style is often lighthearted and straightforward, but this session does involve more intense warfare and dark themes. I would not expect any upset but if you don't enjoy dark tense stories beware. I'll be available and very receptive before, during and after game play incase there is any content or themes you'd like to discuss.
