About the adventure
This is a modified version of the Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden adventure module which mainly edits the flow of time and travel. Expect more side quests, political intrigue, and inter-party conflict as player secrets are given and revealed. Players will go from levels 1 to 8. I'll set the stage with vivid descriptions of the environment and action as well as music and soundboard cues, but the players are the real stars. The goal is to provide chances for unique encounters between player character backstories/personalities and a living breathing world. Civilization is found primarily within the Ten Towns but the adventure covers all of the Dale. Please note there will be heavy themes of horror, fear, and mistrust (similar to the movie The Thing).

About me
I have been playing tabletop games for ten years and DMing for five with focus on DND 5e (2014 ruleset) and Savage Worlds. My aim is to tell the greatest collaborative story possible by setting palpable stakes for characters as well as chances for them to achieve greatness. Even as the DM I am the players’ greatest cheerleader - I succeed when they succeed. To accomplish this I employ acting and theatre experience, Voicemod, and thirty years of fantasy media from which to draw inspiration.

Creating your character
Characters can be created before or during Session 0. Characters start at level 1 with point buy or standard array of stats. Any race, class, or background from an official source book is available, and homebrew can be discussed for use during Session 0. Gunslinger and Silvery Barbs are the only things I ban outright.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a mic and accounts (free or otherwise) on Discord and Roll20; if you have a DNDBeyond account I can share all my source books as well. I accept all level of game knowledge from the players, and characters will be created by the characters (I can assist with this in session 0 if need be).
What Icegreyer brings to the table
I will employ character voices, ambient music, sound cues, and dynamic maps in my sessions.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion and Paladin Lay-on-Hands on self is a bonus action. Flanking provides a +2 to hit rather than advantage and can be any adjacent position rather than directly opposite the player character. Death saving throws will be whispered to the DM.

How Icegreyer creates a safe table
During Session 0, the Lines and Veils document will be shared and voted upon. X/N/O cards are available in each session to be messaged either publicly or to the DM specifically.
