About the adventure

Within the broad and wide realm of Michenebor, a vast shadow grows. Stirring from far reaching places, the shadow means to reclaim the very essence of existence. And with nothing strong enough to stand in its way... it is likely to succeed. In Snowglen, a small port town on the snowy tundras of the continent of Snowreach, a small vessel unloads cargo, freight, supplies, along with various travellers from across the realm. The journey, long and arduous, has pushed most toward the closest tavern, the voyagers eager to get out of the biting cold. Unbeknownst to them all, the events within this small hamlet will shape the future of the very realm itself, for better... or for worse. "Path of the Void Walkers" is a passionate home-brew adventure in three parts for both beginners and veterans alike. Players can expect heavy Roleplay, combat that will evolve as the players do, and a story that will travel all of the continents that the realm has to offer... along with some other mysterious - and very dangerous - places as well. Come, adventurer, and attempt to bend the worlds to your will, if you dare...

About me

Ready for adventure? Roll up a character and let me take you on an epic journey! As a seasoned GM, I bring a lot of resources and experience in storytelling, theatricality and nuance. Studying the performing arts at a tertiary level for many years along with degrees in literature, contemporary arts and drama, as well as a stint at Melbourne’s prestigious VCA, I’m confident that I’ll be able to help you create a story and adventure that you’ll remember for a long time to come. Be sure to send me a message if you want to arrange a session outside of those listed. I can create an adventure for you to join at a time that suits you! :)

Character creation

Creating your character

Players are welcome to build characters as they see fit, but the use of any third-party or home-brew species, classes or items needs approval. Not every weapon system may be available within the realm. Players should use 5e 2024 rules for character creation as well, so that we are ready to roll as soon as the game begins. Session Zero can occur if and when all players would like to take part.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For this game, we'll be using webcams to showcase ourselves and our characters - pyjamas are more than welcome! The only accounts you'll need are for D&D Beyond (we'll be using maps tool and the character builder) everything else will be supplied for you. :)

What Matt the GM brings to the table

What can you expect? Apart from an epic adventure, I also pride myself of adding as much immersion as possible. I provide detailed NPC performances, Maps, NPC art, soundscapes and 24/7 player support.

Homebrew rules

Stabilising an ally without the use of a medical or healers kit requires a Medicine check of 5 or more. Less than that inflicts a death failure, while a natural 1 on that check inflicts 2 death fails. Don't poke around a wound unless you know what you're doing! Also, downed characters who are revived will return with an additional point of exhaustion.
