About the adventure
Beginners Welcome to this brand new game by the folks at Critical Role! You play people forced into the unenviable position of saving a world that may not be worth saving. Using the Age of Umbra setting framework, we'll be exploring and CREATING TOGETHER a world that is past its golden age, and is now in an age of shadows, rust, and death. And even death is no guarantee of escape. As for me, it is debatable if I've spent more time learning the lore of games like Dark Souls or time spent dying in Elden Ring, and I hope to bring that grim fantasy energy to our campaign. BUT! As this is Daggerheart, most of that lore and that tone is in YOUR hands as much as it is mine. Let's build something incredible together!

About me
I've been gaming and running games for over thirty years, and been a professional freelancer and indie designer for over twenty. (Sentences like this sometimes makes one question their life choices.) I also spent almost ten years teaching English as a second or foreign language from kindergartners to conversation seeking adults as well as for those who had professional needs. Classroom management is a little easier than herding cats, and that's just a little easier than GMing strangers, and I've got the chops for all three. (Ask me for pictures of my cats.) I'm a lover of all the wildest indie games out there, and I've written for a bunch of traditional games you know and love. Hit me up, whatever game you love, I might be able to run it for you. If you want an idea of how I run my own game, #iHunt, here's an actual play with the AMAZING crew of the Critshow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9QudaBHls Hit me up, and let's get you gaming!

Creating your character
We'll use the free tools at Demiplane to make and store characters. This is a free account so no sweat on cost! And we'll build characters together during Session 0!
This campaign should start on Friday the 4th of July! Look forward to seeing everyone then! (This week, June 26th will be a short learn to play session for players who'd like to participate and hopefully get a nice full table before session zero on the 4th!)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you have a working mic and a strong internet connection, we can figure everything else out together in our Session 0! If you're worried, this is a game open to brand new players, so we can learn Daggerheart together, or, check out my profile for a Learn to Play one-shot! Not required, but there for your comfort!
What F Young brings to the table
To set the mood of a grim and rusted dark fantasy adventure I'll provide maps, challenges, and occasionally setting appropriate music when it suits the moment! As well as a cast of characters, and plenty of drama to keep you on your feet!

How F Young creates a safe table
We'll use the Player's Deck of Safety and a redlight-greenlight system while playing together to protect your enjoyment at the table and avoid topics that will make things un-fun for everyone! I'll explain all that in detail in Session 0!
