About the adventure
A campaign set in the homebrew world of Terra, this is an age of uncertainty, and many fear what could become of the realm should the Lord of Plagues keep growing in power. This is a Pathfinder 1st edition game, played on FoundryVTT and over Discord. Terra is a high-magic fantasy setting, with its own pantheon and races. It is a darker setting, with content including slavery, necromancy, ritual magic, drugs, human sacrifice, and vermin (spiders, centipedes, etc.). This campaign will expect you to know the basics of the Pathfinder 1st edition game system, and to accept the house rules for the campaign.

About me
I'm hosting games for Pathfinder 1st edition, largely because I've noticed there aren't a lot of people hosting these games. I've been a DM for over twenty years, and have the philosophy that the game is meant to be something fun for everyone involved. I try and make games that have something for every player. I run modules, both bought and homebrewed.

Creating your character
There are a list of allowed races/classes (see below) that have homebrew traits available. No other races or classes are allowed. You start at 3rd level, have 25 point buy, 3,000 gp and two traits. You also gain 250 crimson coins if you are a new player, a currency that lets you buy class features and bonuses, as well as make re-rolls during the session. Races allowed: elves, half-elves, nyss, undine, sylph, oread, ifrit, grippli, halfling, gnome, human. Classes allowed: Core, Base, Hybrid, Unchained. Each PC is allowed one archetype per class they have. Recommended: Have a brief backstory (no more than 12 sentences). Don't attach yourself to a different campaign setting or something from it, and try to not include things like prophecies/divine tasks. I can include such things, they tend to dominate a campaign though. If you have a backstory that is reasonable, your character gets an additional 1,000 gp and +50 crimson coins. Allowed books are Core, Ultimate Combat/Intrigue/Equipment/Magic, Advanced Class Guide, Unchained. Mythic is not a part of this setting, nor is Psionics. Modules and Campaign specific books are not allowed, nor are Campaign traits - This game will have a selection of up to 25 campaign traits to choose from. Do note we use Elephant in the Room rule set, and have a list of homebrew rules (sent to prospective players before they pay any money).
Currently forming a party, so the options are open! Official Paizo classes only!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I run off of FoundryVTT, which runs best off of Google Chrome, and make use of Discord for voice chat. No need for a webcam, no programs to download. I have an extra set of rules/character creation options that are unique to this campaign. This includes Crimson Coins, a method to customize your character for better flexibility.
What Nicholas Paschall brings to the table
I provide the VTT, and the Discord server, as well as four hours of game time a week where you will have an adventure in a storied world, built over the course of over twenty years of gaming. This is a world where magic is abundant, and the world is shaped by players past. Custom items, custom spells, custom feats, old 3.5 content, and Elephant in the Room makes for some truly crazy games, which people seem to enjoy.
Homebrew rules
For this game, a list of rules adapted over years of different groups input and effort... Some changes are that you can spend time and gold as a PC to craft not only your own items, but research new spells or feats. If you can't do it, then there is likely an NPC you can pay to do it for you. There's a list of spells and magic items that are modified or banned, all for either lore reasons (on Terra, wizards can only create up to seven demiplanes in a lifetime), or to maintain balance (blood money being abusive). Almost none of them are what would be considered combat magic. We do use Elephant in the Room, because Paizo really made most classes feat starved.
