About the adventure
You might be tempted to think Delta Green is about fighting back 'the dark'; about saving humanity from the eldritch unknown; about anonymous heroes risking their lives to protect the world from the facts it Doesn't Need to Know. You'd be half-right. Delta Green isn't about anything so noble as saving the world, even though that's The Mission; it's about Survival; about living in the shadow of hope without safety nets or support networks as you stare long into the Abyss, doing your best to compartmentalize that the Abyss is staring long into You; hope that the world *can* be saved; hope that you'll live to see it. It's about your Agent sitting at the dinner table, home from your FBI career to your happy family and stable career, knowing that at a moment's notice you'll have to lie to everyone you know to go off to gods-know-where to do illegal work that could kill you in a way that a funeral can't be allowed to happen. This is Call of Cthulhu for the modern age; fiction which trails the edge of narratives like Control, Alan Wake, the SCP Wiki, and Marble Hornets. Join us, Agent, and we'll peel back the poster of Reality for you and show you how to trade your essence to give the world a little more life. This game will teach you the Ins and Outs of being an Agent for Delta Green; how to work a Case; how to (hopefully) survive one: dice, character creation, the whole enchilada. If you think you're Agent material, hit the Join button and let's find out.

About me
Writer, actor, professional game creator, and all-around "semi-pro" Storyteller! I wear many hats and do a lot of things; some may call me a jack of all trades. But the oldest, fondest, hat in my closet that I never completely take off is the hat of 'forever DM'. I'm very fond of opportunities to tell odd stories and I particularly love telling stories as a group activity. Paid DMing allows me to tell tales and do prepwork I wouldn't normally have the time for; given the opportunity, I'd be happy to work full time on it. For me, the title of 'forever DM' isn't a nag -- it's a commitment!

Creating your character
Session 0 will go over character creation, rules of the system, and live play if there's time. If you're familiar with d100-based systems (especially Call of Cthulhu 7th edition), this will be a very fast pick-up-and-play for you.
What to expect

Please arrive with a working microphone. You will need to register an account at Sqyre (it's free) and join the Forgotten Workshop Discord server before the session starts. A link to the Discord to join or ask questions about this learn-to-play is here: http://discord.gg/invite/DqvAVJMJ83
What Fate brings to the table
This is a Theater of the Mind experience with beautiful analog-horror-inspired animated visuals, dramatic soundtrack, and handouts for you to peruse through as you work through 'the Case'. An in-game investigation board is provided to all Delta Green games to help with information organization.

How Fate creates a safe table
My standard Safety Baseline applies but we will address any further Lines and Veils on Session 0. Each session ends with Stars and Wishes to assist the DM with refining their stagecraft, helping to address any issues which arose during play, and for players to provide kudos to other players/the system/the DM/etc. https://sites.google.com/view/forgottenworkshoprp/safety-baseline?authuser=0
