I keep character creation flexible and stress-free—you can build your character however you like, using: ✔ Pathbuilder2e ✔ Wanderer’s Guide ✔ Good ol’ pen & paper ✔ Foundry or any other tool you prefer My philosophy? You know how you play best, so use what works for you. Whether you’re a seasoned min-maxer or brand new to the system, I’ll work with you to ensure your character fits into the world and has meaningful connections to the story. Got a wild concept? Want to tweak a background or homebrew something cool? Let’s talk! 📜 How to Prepare for the Adventure 📜 Getting ready is simple! Here’s what you’ll need to jump in and start playing: ✔ Standard Pathfinder 2E Rules – If you’re new, I’m happy to help guide you through character creation and gameplay! ✔ A Mic & Headset – We’ll be using Discord for voice chat, so make sure your audio setup is good to go. No camera required! ✔ TaleSpire (Free Guest Edition) – Download the free guest version on Steam to experience the game in a fully 3D, immersive environment. ✔ Join the Beast Foundry Discord – Head over to BeastFoundry.com, scroll to the bottom, and click the Discord link to get connected with the community, coordinate game sessions, and stay up to date with any announcements. There’s a free guest version on Steam that’s easy to download and jump into. 🛡️ Safety, Comfort, and Player Experience 🛡️ My goal as a GM is to create a world that feels real, immersive, and full of challenges, but also to make sure that everyone at the table is having a great time. I run a dynamic, living world where the dangers are real—both from terrifying monsters and the harsh realities of the setting. That said, everyone has different comfort levels, and I fully respect that. Session Zero – Setting Expectations Before we begin, we’ll have a Session Zero where we discuss: ✔ Tone & Content Expectations – Is the group looking for a gritty, dark fantasy story, or something lighter? ✔ Player Comfort Levels – Any specific themes, topics, or content people want to avoid? ✔ The Flow of the Game – What kind of experience are we building together? I’m not here to sanitize the world or remove the stakes that make it immersive, but I also believe that TTRPGs are about fun, collaboration, and storytelling. If something ever crosses a line, I encourage open communication so we can adjust without breaking immersion or engagement. Game Rating & Themes 🎭 Tone: Can shift between serious, dark, or lighthearted, depending on the players’ choices. 🔞 Rating: Games often land in PG-13 to R territory, based on how the story unfolds. 🛠️ Player Agency First: I don’t force uncomfortable situations on players, and actions always have consequences—but you choose how deep you go. Final Thought In 30+ years of gaming, I’ve never had complaints because I run games with respect, fairness, and an understanding that fun comes first.
