About the adventure

Gather round for an original dungeon crawl inspired by early Dungeons and Dragons. The king's crown is stolen, and the town guard thinks the crown jewels will be used for nefarious means. Pass over spike chasms, overcome magic traps, and stop a ritual taking place deep into the abandoned mines. We will be leaning into more puzzles and riddles, so this is a perfect game to learn how to play, while also challenging those who know how to play. A quick survey is sent out before play, so I will know how much help you need. All ages and experience levels welcome!

About me

Queer DM based out of Denver, CO. I've been playing since high school, took the mantle of GM after college in 2016 and never looked back. Been running multiple campaigns and one shots at the professional level since 2023. Very beginner friendly, and love to explore all systems out there. I run games focusing on riddles, puzzles, roleplay, etc. The idea is to make it a fun challenge that you can't just roll dice through. That goes both ways though. Feel free to come up with the clever solution to keep me on my toes. Always looking for a new way to push myself out of my creative comfort zone. Feedback is always very welcome, as the goal is to cater to the party's interests as much as possible. I understand that my job is to ensure that you have the best time playing

Character creation

Creating your character

You are going to be playing as a group of adventures who venture into a dungeon as hired mercenaries from the kingdom. We are going to be playing a beginner friendly game at level 3. Lets stick to point buy with the characters. If you do not have a character before hand, I can provide a character for you. Any officially published class, species, or subclass is fair game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please be ready with an account on discord, roll 20, and D&D beyond. All should be a free account. If you want to play a species that is not in the base ruleset, I should be able to share content so that you can create the creature you want.

What Tanner brings to the table

I have my own discord channel where we can play with video or audio only. I create my own maps through Dungeon Alchemist, and will be running the game via Roll 20. Having the Beyond 20 addon for Chrome will help immensely for linking D&D Beyond with Roll 20. Expect plenty of character voices, and the embrace of rule of cool.

How Tanner creates a safe table

I will send you a questionnaire beforehand regarding any triggers you want to be steered clear from. For the most part though, this is a very straightforward dungeon crawl, and the aim is to be friendly for all ages. We will be on discord, so you can message me there during the game if we approach any sensitivities and I will course correct
