About the adventure
You have fond remembrances of your time in the Society of Young Stewards, a scout group meant to teach survival skills and a respect for the island to young people. Kind Scoutmaster Hali patiently guided you through acquiring each of your badgesāfrom sheep dragon herding to responsible wrinkefruit cultivation. Despite never leaving the area around Okiri Village, you felt prepared for whatever the world had to throw at you when you filled your sash. However, when your former Scoutmaster leaves behind a mysterious and dire message, your skills will be put to the test. Okiri is short on adventurers, and yet, adventure calls. You and your fellow former scouts are the closest thing to adventurers Okiri has to offer, and your quest promises to take you beyond the boundaries of your small village for the very first time, perhaps even to the ends of the world itself. Terrifying? Yes! But as the saying goes, āOnce a Steward, Always a Steward.ā ā The Setting Weāre using the Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass World Book from 1985 games. If you like Studio Ghibli films, the Legend of Zelda, and 1980s tech, this oneās for you! āļø Come discover a beautiful place filled with spirits, whimsy, and adventure. š§Ŗ Enjoy a very cool potion brewing mechanic based on the cooking system from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. ⨠Explore new spells, new creatures, new subclasses, new ancestries and more! ā The Vibes š Exploration/discovery-forward: Anything you know about the rest of the world is through tales travelers to your village have told. Youāll discover this strange and beautiful island as you move through it! š Role play focused: More social than combat-oriented, youāll still have opportunities to swing your sword, but outwitting your opponents might be more effective. š From Farmers to Heroes: A true call-to-adventure story, youāll be learning to adventure as you do it! āļø Cozy vibes: There will be conflict and mystery, but weāll also delight in the small thingsāgetting to know places and people, solving small town problems, taking the time to enjoy a nice bowl of ramen or a hot cup of tea. This game promises to be both engaging and soothing. ā The Logistics ā”ļø This campaign will span levels 1-7 š Weāre using D&D 5e (2014) since the world book was developed for this edition. š» Youāll need a (free) Alchemy VTT account and Discord account šļøVoice required, video encouraged (but optional)

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi, I'm Jett (they/them)! Iāve been playing TTRPGs for over a decade and have been a GM/DM for 9 years, running games online here on SPG, at bar events, game stores, and board game clubs in NYC, and at many lovely home tables far and wide! I love creating roleplay-rich tables that are safe, respectful, and inclusive to all. Fostering an environment of safety, mutual respect, curiosity, and fun is deeply important to me. I focus on creating games for my queer community and all folks of marginalized experience, but I GM for everyone who is down to take care of each other and play! From silly to serious, I just love telling good stories with a great group of people. If that sounds good to you, pull up a chair, help me put my theater and creative writing degrees to use, and come have some fun!

How Jett creates a safe table
š Players will complete a safety survey based on the Monte Cook RPG Consent checklist prior to gameplay. Responses will be anonymously compiled and players will agree to abide by the lines and veils indicated by the survey. These lines and veils may be updated at any time should a player want to add or remove any boundaries ā A clickable "X" card is available in the VTT if a player needs to call an anonymous time out. Verbal timeouts and group checkins are also welcome if the player feels comfortable sharing. š£ļø Luxton Technique will be used to determine how we resolve time-outs and check-ins. šŖ We will take a 10 minute break roughly every hour (2 per session), but we observe Open Door. Players may take a break any time they need to during the session.
