About the adventure
Lancer is a game with a heavy focus on mech combat. Dustgrave, is a multi part campaign created for Lancer. This planet was meant to be a pit stop, no one wants to stay here for long, not with the toxic ash that showers the planet in a constant blanket. But when your ticket off this rock falls through because the ships NHP was stolen. You are left with no choice but to delve into the planet's underbelly and bring her home. This is a beginner friendly game that welcomes players with zero experience with the Lancer rule set as well as experienced players.
Meet the Game Master
About me
I have been a GM for almost 15+ years now and am beginning my professional GM journey. I run inclusive games for all types with a focus on fun. I mainly run Lancer modules, though in my spare time I play a lot of Blades in the Dark.

Creating your character
Characters will be created using comp con https://compcon.app/#/ Character should be license level 2 and be seasoned Union pilots. There will be no session 0, but I will happily hop on to help players with character creation before session 1. I can also hop on to teach the basic rules if need be. We just need to setup a time / day to go over whatever you want help with.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a decent quality mic, a computer with internet connection, and access to discord. You should have a general idea about the setting and rules of Lancer. I am happy to help teach the game, but you should know the very basics like... - Who are Union? - What is a mech / lancer? - How map combat in a TTRPG generally works.
What Ginger GM brings to the table
- Foundry Server with detailed battle maps and NPC miniatures. - Lancer Core rules and all needed ICPs - Player mech miniatures (upon request, feel free to bring your own.) - Discord server for game communication
Homebrew rules
I use a modified roll system when outside mech combat where rolls happen on a scale similar to blades in the dark rather than a binary pass / fail. I use a modified downtime rules where players get 2 downtime actions and it functions closer to how blades in the dark's downtime works. I have changed the HMG due to how insanely powerful it is. The HMG has a new feature where it always has 1 difficulty and no rule overrides this. The key being it ONLY ever has 1 difficulty meaning it ignores additional difficulty from cover and other sources.

How Ginger GM creates a safe table
☆ Lines: - rape ☆ Veils: - graphic depictions of injury - torture - romance/sex ☆ Note on turn length and pauses: This game is beginner friendly, as such there may be times when the game slows down to help explain concepts to newer players. While I will work to keep these moments to a minimum, I ask that players respect each other in their learning journeys. ☆ High combat low roleplay: Lancer allows for some role-play but not a ton compared to other modules or systems. While you can come up with detailed and elaborate back stories for your player characters, they will almost certainly not come up in this game and you should hold no expectation that I will try to work them in. ☆ Combat will (hopefully) be challenging: Lancer is a tactical mech game. I will not run the enemies as brainless hordes. They will fight back and they will try to win. My goal is to present a worthy challenge for players to overcome, but this does require players to work as a team and not just charge in head first. This is still a beginner friendly game however, and I will happily offer advice and guidance during the game when requested. ☆ Table rules: - 1. Players are to treat everyone at the table with respect. No bigotry, sexism, or just being an entitled jerk. If you break one of these rules you will be dropped from the game. - 2. If you miss a game that is fine. If we have at least 3 players who wish to still play that week, the game will continue on and your character will fade into the background. If we have less than 3 players willing to play then we will skip the game that week. - 3. Consistently sabotaging the party or refusing to work with the team will be considered being an entitled jerk. See tables rules 1.
