About the adventure

You are adrift in the great sparkling sea of wildspace, your trusty vessel creaking underfoot. So much awaits you out there, from pirates to monsters, treasure to horror, all you have to do is take the wheel! ----------------------------------------------------- Inspired heavily by classics like treasure planet, star wars, and star trek, this campaign will have you exploring the strange, goofy, and dangerous locations and denizens of the astral sea. Your goal? Whatever you decide it is. This campaign is designed around the idea of collaborative worldbuilding. As part of session zero your party will collectively decide what your campaign goal is, from defeating the 7 pirate kings, to collecting the ancient scrolls of mystical power, to reuniting the warring elven moons. Similarly, throughout the campaign players will have the opportunity leave their own mark on the map, creating locations, villains, and more for their party and future ones to encounter!

About me

šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ Queer šŸŽVoice Actor šŸš€Physicist. ----------------------------------------------------- My table is welcome to all, but I especially enjoy DMing for players who have normally felt excluded from gaming spaces because of their identity. ----------------------------------------------------- Whoever you are, so as long as there's respect to go around, I'm sure we'll have a great time!

Homebrew rules

House rules will be covered during session zero, but the following are the big ones: • Rule of Cool • If an attack roll beats the target's AC by 10 or more, it counts as an artificial critical. • Negative Hit points Exist, they work how you think they'd work • Standing up from prone triggers an attack of opportunity • Spells of level 2 or lower don’t count against the ā€˜one spell slot spell per turn’ rule

Safety

How Ellery/Scriblatives creates a safe table

Although this campaign will generally be more lighthearted and zany than terrifying, it's inevitable that some more serious elements will creep in. Because of this, a crucial part of the session zero process will be discussing triggers and content warnings to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible! I will also regularly check in, to make sure everyone is having as much fun as possible!
