About the adventure

Campaign Overview: In a world where spectacle is the highest currency and death is prime-time entertainment, The Arena stands as the crown jewel of bloodsport. Once a mysterious island of arcane anomalies and forgotten ruins, it has been transformed into the stage for the most elite and brutal show on the continent. Competitors aren’t just chosen—they’re hired, volunteered, or sold into a life of fame, fortune, and inevitable betrayal. You are one of them: a contender selected to live within the Arena’s ever-shifting landscape. You’ll fight to survive—not just monsters and rivals, but the insatiable eyes of the world watching your every move. Every skirmish is televised. Every alliance is broadcast. Every kill could be the key to winning the audience’s heart... or losing your humanity. There are only two ways to leave: be the last one standing—or earn enough fame to be bought out by your devoted fans. But will they love the real you… or the version you perform? Play to survive. Perform to win. Bleed for the crowd. Campaign Details: System: D&D 5e with light homebrew (Fame mechanics, audience boons, survival rules) Level: Starting at Level 3 Focus: Roleplay, strategy, survival, PvPvE dynamics Tone: Gritty, Performative, High-Stakes, Satirical Dystopia Style: Long-term survival in a living, breathing arena; downtime scenes for interviews, sponsorships, and fame-building; combat interspersed with social maneuvering Victory Conditions: Be the last living competitor Gain enough Fame + Favor to be bought out by the audience

Safety

How Captain Grae creates a safe table

Safety Tools: Session 0- In our session zero I will explain how I use these safety tools, give links to my consent checkin, and we will talk about goals and what feels good for our sessions. We will also build characters and backgrounds for players who want to build a character. Consent Checkin- I will send an email that contains my consent checklist as well as lines and veils documents that can be filled out before session 1. Breaks- Breaks can be asked for whenever and I will find natural pauses in story for them. My guild line is approx. 1-2 10min breaks a session. X, N, O cards- cards can be spoken or shown on screen physically with camera.
