About the adventure
"Losing Face,” is a one-shot adventure in Swords of the Serpentine. This game is perfect for beginners. You don’t need any experience to play. In this story, you’ll explore a fantasy city full of secrets and danger. It’s inspired by great writers like Fritz Leiber, Terry Pratchett, and Robert E. Howard. We use the GUMSHOE system, which focuses on action and investigation. Everyone can help tell the story. You’ll join your friend Galdo. He has found a woman with a blank face. She is unconscious and in trouble. Who is she? Why is she important? And who harmed her? The game charge goes towards supporting any VTT and modules etc I need to purchase to run the game for everyone.

Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

I've never played Call of Cthulhu before, but Benoit made it easy and fun. His style is friendly and creative. He patiently explained the rules as they came up, allowing us to jump right into to play and learn as we went.

Benoit is able to craft a spooky and realistic world using mostly theater of the mind with a few pictures thrown in for color. Great time, player, and personality management. I'm looking forward to more games with him.

How to prepare
Have a functional microphone and join the Discord ahead of the session. I will prepare character sheets for you. If you wish to bring your own, simply let me know at least 24 hours ahead of the session.
What I provide
Character sheets will be prepared for you ahead of the session, you do not need to prepare anything or even know the rules ahead of time. Character sheet and dice rolling will be done on FoundryVTT. I will be providing the license, you do not need any experience with it.
