About the adventure

In the sleepy coastal town of Sandpoint, evil is brewing. An attack by crazed goblins during the annual Swallowtail Festival quickly turns into something more ominous as the shadows of a dark past come back to haunt the town—and perhaps all of Varisia. Can the heroes stop the awakening of a legendary runelord and keep him from reclaiming his lost kingdom of greed? This play-by-post campaign will take you through the classic Rise of the Runelords adventure, faithfully converted to the Pathfinder 2E ruleset. Experience the rich lore of Varisia at a steady, narrative-driven pace, where every choice shapes the unfolding story. Expect a blend of investigation, deadly combat, and moments of triumph and despair as your characters face the machinations of ancient evil. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to the world of Golarion, this format allows for detailed roleplay, strategic decision-making, and immersive storytelling. Step into a world of heroes, villains, and forgotten magic — the runelords are stirring once more. Will you stand against their rise?

What BlackStrum brings to the table

I bring a fully-equipped Discord server to the game, designed to enhance your play-by-post experience. The server includes multiple channels tailored for different aspects of the adventure. You will have a dedicated channel for roleplaying the main adventure, an OOC discussion channel for out-of-character talk, and specific channels for dice rolling and testing your rolls. I’ll be sharing relevant images in a picture channel to help set the scene, and during battles, I’ll use Foundry to manage the maps, posting updated versions in the battlemap channel. Additionally, each player will have their own private one-on-one channel with me for anything that requires individual attention or direct communication.
