Star Wars Campaign | Character and Narrative Focus |
Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games | Campaign
About the adventure
A Star Wars centered Campaign, set in the Clone Wars. We will be running what is known as the Duty system, a way to track your actions that have helped whatever faction your group has done for organizations in the galaxy- and reaping rewards from it. Outside of the various topics of Session 0, I am open to all levels of experience, and will do my best to streamline the learning process as well as possible. This campaign will have a narrative and character focus first and foremost, and I will always be doing my best to give multiple options for the party to take. There's a whole galaxy to explore, and I can't wait to see which direction you all take!
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
This is a narrative and flexible system that I greatly enjoy, and I hope you all will too. I have a great passion for star wars and hope to build a great adventure with you all. Session 0 is half off by the way.

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Storytelling
Voices
Belac is passionate about what he's doing right down to surprisingly well done artistic renderings of your character as well as doing voices. He's good at ad libbing, pulling things out of thin air and keeping the story moving into cool moments even when you're not lol. I was having a rough day was exhausted and just felt off so I was doing a crap job of being creative and RP'ing. He kept it moving and helped out with suggestions when I was stuck. Excited to grow as a player in his campaign, he is a good one.
Caleb does a great job of running a very plot-focused campaign while simultaneously keeping the direction of the plot open to player choice. He fills worlds with a lot of different distinct NPCs and fleshes out personalities for each one. There is a lot of thought and preparation that goes into his games and it shows.

Gameplay details
Each session will end with 3 questions: what did you like, what did you dislike, and what do you want to see more of. I will be using these to shift the campaign in a direction the party enjoys. Be it wanting more complex combat/social encounters, to continuing dungeon patterns the players enjoy, I will fine tune the campaign as we play. X, N, and O's will be used in Discord as needed, although the provided Consent Check List should help avoid such topics it is always better to be safe than sorry. I also have experience in interactive theater, and thus can help with handling situations such as bleed.

How will character creation work
Character Creation will be handled in session zero, and I will guide each of you through it. Character creation will involve the following steps: Group Reputation [This involves debts/known achievements/alignments you have- which we will be using will depend on group organization] Species [What stats and skills your character possesses] Career and Specialization [Class and starting Subclass] Characteristics [Stats and upgrading them- it is recommended you spend as much XP as possible here] Talents & Skills [Class feats and Skills, use leftover XP here] Equipment [You will be given a set amount of starting credits and purchase items, I am providing a site with all listed items- which includes price and rarity. The rest will be explained in session 0] Motivations [Character building and all the fun RP stuff, optional but great for new Roleplayers] Starting Resource [This is something of us shared among the group: this can be a starting ship, a squadron of Y-Wings, a mentor in the ways of the force, or a business]
