Creating your character

Welcome to Scar City, a broken metropolis on the brink of destruction, where the powerful corporations extract the soul of the earth itself, and ancient forces stir in the shadows. In Final Fantasy Gnosis, you’ll begin your journey at Level 4, and your character’s progression will be tied to the Milestone system, leveling up through story and character development. Your decisions, actions, and interactions with the world will shape how you grow, not just through experience but through your own personal evolution. Important Notes for Character Creation: Starting Level: Everyone starts at Level 4. This gives you a solid foundation for your character to dive into the action. Milestone Leveling: Progression happens through story milestones and character development, not just combat. You will level up as your story unfolds, and as your character grows and evolves. Required Resources: Make sure you have the DnD 5e Player’s Handbook to help with character creation and other rules. If you’re missing any resources or need help with something specific, I’m here to assist you in getting what you need! Character Options: You’re free to play any class or race of your choice! Just run it past me first. If you’re using anything from a different sourcebook, let me know so we can check it together. I’m usually pretty open to creative ideas. Discord and Mic: You’ll need the Discord app and a mic to play, as we’ll be using voice chat to bring the world of Scar City to life! World Overview: Fenrus and Scar City The world of Fenrus is dying, and Scar City is the last remnant of civilization. It’s a city of contrasts—ancient arcane powers mixed with cutting-edge technology, and a place where corporate greed fuels the destruction of everything around it. As you walk through the streets, you’ll encounter everything from cyber-enhanced soldiers to mystical creatures that no one understands. The city is divided between the elite who control everything and the downtrodden who live in the shadows. Every corner hides secrets, and every choice could change the fate of the city. Factions and Allegiances There are many factions within Scar City, from the corporations that run everything, to the rebels fighting for freedom, and the zealots who believe the world must be destroyed to be reborn. You’ll be able to choose which faction, or factions, you want to align with—or you could choose to remain an outsider, with no loyalty to anyone but yourself. Character Backstories & Connections Your character’s backstory will tie directly into the world and its factions. Think about what brought you to Scar City. Were you once part of a corporation and now a rebel? Did you grow up in the underbelly of the city, dreaming of revenge? Or are you an outsider with a hidden agenda? We’ll also spend time discussing how your characters might be connected—are you allies? Rivals? Are strangers bound together by fate?
