Lancer - Solstice Rain Into Full Campaign - New Player Friendly
Lancer | Campaign
About the adventure
This is my version of the Solstice Rain introduction adventure in Lancer. Follow your new Lancers on their first combat contract, racing against the clock in an urban warzone. The fate of an entire planet hangs in the balance. Will your team of mech pilots be able to complete the mission? This intro game is meant as either a stand-alone introduction or as a start of a longer ongoing Lancer game. Once the initial introduction part of the campaign has finished, players have the option of continuing their characters in an ongoing campaign.
Game style
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Come for Solstice Rain, stay for License Level 1-12 romp through the Karrakin Trade Baronies!

Bit pricey but I promise its worth it. There story telling and building of not just the story but everyone's connections to each other and to the story as well. Rule of cool is prevalent and great story telling with a good mix of combat and mechanics. Defiantly recommend joining her game.
Gogo is fantastic at describing scenes and NPCS, as well as giving everyone at the table their moments in the spotlight. I like that there's room for both serious moments and moments of levity. I joined a game that's been running for awhile, and with a more unusual PC, but my character's introduction felt smooth and cohesive, and I immediately felt welcome at the table.
I've had the corebook for VTM20th anniversary for a good decade or so and have only had the opportunity to play it now through here (mostly played Pathfinder 1e or Dnd 5e before this). They've been very welcoming considering I'm on the other side of the world and I'm not the only one who's had connection issues where they've done a lot to keep us involved in the sessions. Usually there's a couple of points in a session where at least half the table is busting a gut laughing. Couple of thoughts that came up while playing that I'd say reflect well on their dedication to their games they run: "Wow that's a lot of characters, wow you can really tell the difference between them too with the range of accents and tones.... Wait... there's more every week?". "Huh I've gotten hold of another book mentioning Combination Disciplines, wow two weeks later, "Hey there's this opportunity to pick up Combination Disciplines". " "Someone else in the Coterie is talking about having to go choose a new Path of enlightenment soon, couple of hours later "wow that's a long list of different paths available and people to teach them"." "That's... a looooooooong list of Downtime activities..."
Gogo epitomizes everything you'd want from collaborative storytelling. I joined the game a few months in and was able to get into it straight away. She's an excellent GM as far as knowing the mechanics and when to bend them, as well as being totally original and thoughtful in terms of scenes, plots and diverse NPCs. She's actually put together probably the most flesh-out and detailed casts of NPCs I've had the pleasure of playing with. Completely welcoming and approachable, especially for someone who's able to run very dark and frightening material so comfortably.
I knew nothing about 40k when I was asked to join to a game and I thought why not. Gogo was amazing to explain and "dumb" things down so I could follow the vast 40k lore with also keeping the experienced players intrested. Also amazing mood setter and storyteller. Would recommend to anyone.
