About the adventure

As a child you feared the dark, the creatures that go bump in the night, the monsters that lurk in every shadow, but as you grew up you learned that monsters weren't real. They are real, they are the heads of vast companies, the owners of neon clubs, your boss at a fast-food joint. The monsters have always been real, you just didn't notice till now. The fangs, the claws, the unexplainable that can tear through how you see life, and you are just human. You are prey. Welcome to the World of Darkness Hunter! You live in the city of Garnet Cliff, a place along the central California coast where it rains most days of the year. Most maps forget to write it down and GPS barely works here despite having over a hundred thousand people living here. The city has always been strange, that's why a group of supernatural scholars called the Arcanum have established themselves here at Emperor Norton University. You are a newer member of the Arcanum, you learned of the truth, that the occult is real, and now the academics are paying you to research the supernatural and to remove any threats they ask you to. You do not have to do these objectives; the city of Garnet Cliff is yours to uncover and explore. This campaign is open for everyone, especially beginners as we explore the Hunter the Reckoning system.
