Fabula Ultima | One-Shot
About the adventure
Investigate ancient ruins, build friendships, confront formidable opponents, and craft a story collaboratively. This simple but robust system will give you JRPG (Japanese role playing game) vibes from beloved series like Final Fantasy, Persona, Fire Emblem, Chrono Trigger, the Tales series and more. I will guide you through the HOW of Fabula Ultima so you can focus on the fun and fantasy. Select one of the exciting pre-made characters and jump right in because I'll take you step-by-step without you needing to prepare or read a rulebook. Easy to learn and wildly imaginative, this JRPG-inspired system will surprise you with its depth of customization (of characters *and* worlds). Once you try it, you'll want to play again.

Suann is deeply artistically and emotionally invested in her gamemastering. She puts painstaking effort into setting immersion, including but not limited to carefully chosen maps and artwork, bespoke original audio, evocative written pieces, and tailor-made creatures, items, spells, and other mechanical aspects of the game. Her worlds and stories are unique and compelling, but never simply a canvas she paints to show off to you. She goes to great lengths to make the adventure belong to you and your fellow players specifically, and is very conscious about safety tools and above-table facets of the game that create an atmosphere where everyone feels important and valued within the game. Suann will challenge you, move you, enthrall you, make you laugh out loud, and constantly surprise you. She is a GM par excellence, and absolutely worth your time and money.
I just had an amazing Mothership introduction oneshot with Suann. As a pro-GM myself, Im very very picky with my GMs, but Suann gets 5 stars easily. I was quite impressed at her visual and sound aids which were perfect for setting the mood in this horror oneshot. Another strong point was how thoughtful she was with the onboarding and introductions of each player. Taking care of safety and helping us know each other, as well as our characters before we even started. That led to some great party roleplay, even though it was a group of strangers
Suann is a master at her craft. She is dedicated to her players' safety first and foremost, which makes her the perfect fit for horror themed oneshots! Her system knowledge is robust, her ability to teach and educate are seemless, and I could rant for hours about the immersion. There are plenty of GMs who run their games on FoundryVTT. Suann utilizes it to the fullest, immediately drawing us in to the world of the Moonbase Blues, and using every tool to her advantage. From integrated handouts, custom-made scenes, to a well-curated and charming soundtrack, Suann isn't just using FoundryVTT, she's using it well. Finally, I'd love to tip my hat to her ability to adapt and improvise with player input on the fly. So many games set the precedent of structure through their strict set of rules, outlining what can or cannot be done. Suann has consistently been able to adapt to any and all player input that lives in the nebulous in between of those things, and figure out a solution that moves the game forward without coming close to breaking pace. Dedicated to player safety, incredibly immersive, and ultimately adaptable, Suann is exactly the GM you've been looking for for your next game.
After several sessions playing with Suann, I can confidently say that she is one of my favorite GMs I've played with. The amount of care and consideration she puts into both building the world and the story is incredible. She also takes care to make sure the experience is fun for the players, making sure to highlight moments where characters can develop and grow and also giving us inventive and cool things to do every session so it never gets stale!
