Rise of the Raccoons
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Come play as a sentient Raccoon in the post apocalypse! The year is 3129. Humanity is extinct. The last LG Smart Fridge is desperately emailing its last owner that they are low on orange juice. The satellites still left, their orbits decaying, dutifully relay the message. The automated "away from office" response turns on, as it always does, notifying the refrigerator that it's owner will likely return to the office in 3-5 business days. A pack of roombas, the local wind turbines giving out, search for the next functional docking station. The washing machine tweets: "anyone need to do a load >;3" every Saturday at 1:30 a.m. eastern standard time. The replies are filled with AI thirstposters and their hypebots. In North America, the raccoons have entered the bronze age while unbeknownst to them, the octopi are mastering nuclear fusion.
Game style
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Creativity
As a player, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience some great one-shot games, but the session I had recently was so much fun — and a big part of that was due to the fantastic Game Master who ran it. Here’s my review of the experience: From the moment we started, the GM’s storytelling hooked us. He set the scene with such vivid descriptions that we could see the world unfolding in front of us. His ability to weave the plot around our decisions made us feel like we were truly part of the world. The GM’s sense of humor and timing was spot-on, and he knew when to let the players lead and when to keep the narrative driving forward. He had an incredible ability to engage with each player individually while still keeping the group dynamic strong. Whether it was letting us showcase our character’s unique skills or making sure everyone had their moment to shine in the spotlight, no one felt left out. He knew exactly when to give us time to explore our characters and when to push us forward to keep the momentum going. It was clear that the GM wanted us to have a great time, and he made sure everyone did. This one-shot was, hands down, one of the most fun and well-run games I’ve ever experienced. The GM created an environment where everyone could have fun, be creative, and enjoy the experience together. He made the game feel alive, and his enthusiasm was contagious. If you’re ever lucky enough to play in one of his games, I highly recommend it. You’re in for an unforgettable adventure!
I’ve had the chance to play in a few campaigns with Logan, and I can honestly say they’re one of the best GMs I’ve had. Whether it’s D&D, Savage Worlds, or Vampire the Masquerade, they always bring something special to the table. In D&D, they manage to keep the game fun and exciting while making sure everyone gets their moment to shine. The world they build feels alive, and your choices actually matter. For Savage Worlds, they handle the fast-paced action like a pro, always keeping things moving without ever feeling rushed. They’re great at handling all the crazy things players throw at them. And for Vampire the Masquerade? Perfect. They really get the vibe of the game. Honestly, Logan is a blast to play with and makes every game a memorable experience. If you get the chance to join one of their campaigns, don’t miss it!

How to prepare
Players will need a decent Mic, discord, and Roll20. We will mainly play on Roll20, but I will have discord as a back up if Roll20 has problems with connecting through Voice. We will also use Discord to connect in between games. What you can expect in a typical session: Everyone logging into Roll20. After everyone is connected we are ready to go. This game will have the potential for high tension roleplaying and brutal combat (fret not, there is enough room for some silly content too). I expect everyone to be on time and ready for the session and for them to stay for the entirety unless an emergency happens. This is a mature game and any topic may come up at the table in game, if there are any specific lines you would like to avoid crossing please feel free to message me and I will make a note of it. There will be a 10-minute break around mid-session for grabbing snacks, drinks, and bio breaks. House Rules -Potions: It is a bonus action to swig a potion or you can take a full action to drink the potion and gain the max amount of health back. -Death Saves: Death saving throws are done privately by me. -Vicious Mockery or Tasha’s Hideous Laughter: If your joke/insult makes me laugh, the target gets no saving throw.
What I provide
The game will take place on roll20, and I will create a discord channel on my server. There will be several dynamic maps and several narrative options that you will never forget.
Gameplay details
This game will be an adventure survival game that will use D&D 5E and the Animal Adventure rules. Other homebrew can be allowed once reviewed. The main player race will be sentient mutate raccoons entering into the bronze age and as such real world cultures of the bronze age will be used as inspiration. Your city suffers from a drought and heavily relies on the hearts of the gods (engines from before the humans went extinct). Unfortunately, packs of aggressive smart machines (roombas, delivery drones etc.) also seek out the hearts of gods to survive. If that wasn't bad enough, 8-limb devils of the sea rise and capture both raccoon and technology alike and take them into the sea, never to be seen again. It is up to you to adventure out there, and figure a way to survive for your city. The hearts of gods are becoming more and more rare, the smart machines are becoming more desperate, and very little is known about the 8-limb devils. Raccoons however are resourceful and intelligent and you have the power of bronze on your side! Will you walk onto the path of legends, or will you be forgotten like the gods?
