A sorcerer of mythical power has invited you to her home city, where you will compete for the right to one of her greatest treasures. But first, a battle royale! You must join diverse groups on a deadly island in a prequalifier - from which only a few teams will emerge. Should you survive, you will venture to the continent's richest city, meet its empress, and entertain the people with your battles. But something lurks in the wings. The Ruby Phoenix has returned, and so have her enemies... Will you find the villains seeking to not just upend the tournament, but to destroy countless lives? ✨All my games are inclusive, and bigotry will not be tolerated. ✨Character creation advice will be available for those who want it, but please bear in mind this is not a beginner-oriented game! ✨Pathfinder Society Chronicles can be given out.

Jay is a great GM who's extremely welcoming for new players. They're fair, but they don't shy away from challenging the party, which keeps the tension and stakes high when it matters. They always cheer for the players and it really feels like you're working together to craft a really compelling story. Jay also pays attention to the little details and how you try influence the story, so expect call backs to your previous actions and consequences of your decisions to rear their head when you least expect it! This is my first proper time with a new system, and Jay has done an incredible job of easing me into it while making sure I have lots of fun and don't feel sidelined by the more experienced players in the group. It's been really fun, and I'm always looking forward to the game day!
Jay was my first DM for Pathfinder 2E, and the experience has been fantastic. Their mastery of Foundry and deep knowledge of the rules ensure a smooth and immersive gameplay experience. Beyond that, their storytelling is compelling, and they have a great understanding of player dynamics, making every session engaging and memorable. Highly recommend!
Jay was a phenomenal GM for our Kingmaker campaign! Their storytelling was dynamic and immersive, bringing the sprawling world of the Stolen Lands to life at every turn. Jay struck the perfect balance between challenge and collaboration, making every encounter feel meaningful and rewarding. They also ensured an inclusive table where everyone felt welcomed and heard, which elevated the entire experience. If you’re seeking a captivating adventure led by a thoughtful and skilled GM, I highly recommend playing under Jay’s guidance.
Jay is an awesome gamemaster whose mastery of the system and vtt tabletop medium allows them to provide a smooth and immersive experience. They provide a safe place to let players play the way they want. The onboarding to integration to the current story and party was seamless and Jay was responsive throughout. Their NPCs are thought out and feels real to the world. The overall pace of play and story was great. Combat felt sufficiently challenging and lore was dispensed naturally. If you want a great gm that provides a great experience while kindly welcoming you, Jay would be a perfect fit.
Had a phenomenal experience gaming under Jay's direction. They wholeheartedly embraced my creative pursuits, letting unique characters like an Anubian Mummy Exemplar shine. What truly set the sessions apart were the captivating audio and the seamless use of the Kingmaker maps. Jay ensured every session was immersive and memorable. I’m genuinely excited about what future adventures with them will bring. Highly recommend it for those looking to experience a well-facilitated Kingmaker journey!

How to prepare
You will need a mic and a computer with a web browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox. You will also need accounts with Discord and the Forge (free level is fine). I can send you links to all of these. Not sure if your computer can handle Foundry? Try the demo here in your browser: https://foundryvtt.com/demo I am happy to use video, but you are not obliged to. If you do wish to use video, you will need some kind of webcam. You are highly encouraged to know the Pathfinder 2e rules. Please bring one or more level 11 character concepts, which we will input into Foundry in our session 0.
What I provide
I will provide Foundry virtual tabletop with music, remade maps, and virtual dice. I will also provide lots of enthusiasm! We will be using my Discord server with private channels for the game. Regarding rule adherence: I stick to the rules in combat, but allow cool things that are not game-breaking. Outside of combat things flow a bit more freely, and I love creative solutions! I have run multiple Adventure Paths to completion, including this one, and am open to adjusting or sticking to the story as the party prefers. I am also experienced at running high-level campaigns.
Gameplay details
Our first meeting will be a session 0. We will discuss safety tools, session length and campaign expectations, and any character set-up that needs doing - we may also run a 'non-canon' test combat if we have time. Safety tools: all lines and veils (ie things you don't want in the game) should be sent to me, and I will anonymise them and ensure the group is aware of where not to tread. We will also have an anonymous X-card button available, and the N- and O-cards can be typed into chat or my DMs at any point. The content warnings include the most significant 'warning-worthy' topics in the campaign. If there are other content warnings you need to know about, please let me know and we can discuss how to make you most comfortable. I am also happy to work with players to remove triggering content from the plot, as your fun and comfort is what's most important.

How will character creation work
You should have a character idea ready for our first meeting. A chosen level 11 character must be input into Foundry VTT by the end of session 0 (I will help with this!). Players who join later will make characters at the same level as the rest of the party. Rare and uncommon character aspects are theoretically subject to GM approval (but I will probably say yes). We will use the standard 'Boosts & Flaws' method of stat generation (listed here: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2027&NoRedirect=1). You are welcome to use Pathbuilder to design your character. Please check out the Player's Guide for information on appropriate characters: https://paizo.com/community/blog/v5748dyo6shmo?Introducing-the-Fists-of-the-Ruby-Phoenix
