Creating your character

🔹 Character creation details can be discussed and changed! This is YOUR game after all. This is just a basis on what I typically allow. 🔹 I will be using Discord to help walk you through the character creation process, but please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help or have any questions. This game is open to new players, and I am happy to answer any questions and provide guidance. Here are some additional details about character creation: ✅ We will be using Arcane Arcade's Fallout TTRPG system. We will discuss more once you sign up. ✅ Level 1 start ✅ You may choose any Race! ✅ Maximum HP ✅ Starting Gear ✅ Be thinking about backstory and what kind of individual you are! Do you want to be a Ghoul? A Robot? A Human? A Super Mutant? Where do you want to hail from and where do you want the story to be held at? The Mojave Wasteland? What era do you wish it to be held at as well? Keep me informed when we discuss this.

Preparing for the session

This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with the Avrae bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. You will get to experience the story and the roleplay, while also learning about--or getting more experience with--play-by-post format and Avrae. ✅ Download Discord: https://discord.com/ Once you sign up, message me on Discord. The game itself will start once everyone is ready (you will not be charged until we begin). =============== PLOT: Expanded - This story takes place after The Great War, where the World has fallen victim to nuclear fallout, and Nukes have been dropped everywhere in the world. This has left the world a wasteland full of monstrous creatures that are altered by Radiation. Things like Ghouls, Super Mutants, Deathclaws, and many other creatures. The standard Story I have plotted is set around the time of the start of Fallout: New Vegas, but it is a world where The Courier Doesn't Exist and The Platinum Chip hasn't been found yet. This does not mean I discourage you from choosing a different era or different Wasteland to start in! This story will be yours, but I recommend it be within reason and you will start from nothing and become great via exploring and adventuring! Feel free to reach out with your unique ideas that you want to come up with.

What GM Ben brings to the table

Ben, your GM, provides an incredible experience, with the help of various tools from 10+ years of experience with text roleplay. His games include: 🔹 Working one-on-one with you to weave your character backstory in and make this a unique experience. 🔹 Adding his own twist to the story and accounting for character actions and interactions. This is not a static world, and the echoes of the party's choices will be seen. 🔹 Giving characters boons and magic items and scaling up monsters to make combat engaging and challenging. Monsters will not hold back, but the DM will root for your success. 🔹 Creating NPCs with motivations and personalities, who may help or hinder the player characters. Maintain friendships, rivalries, make enemies or even potentially lovers (with consent). 🔹 Customized heroic rivals that will try to oppose the party at every turn. 🔹 Custom (homebrew) content and systems for Fallout from the DM and third-parties. 🔹 Pre-generated characters or concepts, in case you do not wish to create your own.

How GM Ben creates a safe table

I hope to make a place where all can feel accepted, regardless of race, gender, beliefs. 👨🏾‍🦲♾️🏳️‍🌈 Safety tools will always be in effect; this game is a safe and inclusive place. We will use safety cards, lines and veils, and any other safety tools the group needs. I am neurodiverse and a LGBTQIA+ ally, and I seek to provide a safe table for all my players. Accessibility is a big part of the game, and accommodations will be made to meet your needs so that you can have fun. The following will NOT be featured in our games: 🔹 Sexual Assault/Non-Consensual Sex 🔹 Exploitation of Minors 🔹 Real life imagery of sabotage/destruction [GIFs, Photos, and Videos] 🔹 Player-on-Player gaslighting, bullying, or negativity 🔹 Player-on-Player TRASH [transphobia, racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia] behavior Outside of the things listed above, there will most likely be the general themes of Fallout found within this game!
