My Fantasy Academia: Eberron Strixhaven (BIPOC🌈All)

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Welcome to Thronehold Academy, the premier magical university at the crossroads of Eberron’s Five Nations. As a newly enrolled student, you’ll experience four years of spellcraft, martial tactics, and diplomacy! Where attending classes, joining clubs, forging friendships, and surviving rivalries are all part of your day-to-day life. What makes this campaign unique? Immersive Roleplay: You won’t just hack and slash your way through problems. Instead, you’ll cultivate relationships with a cast of recurring NPCs, navigate academic challenges, and uncover secrets lurking within the Academy’s halls. Student Life and Campus Mystery: Whether you’re brewing potions at dawn, unveiling hidden mysteries between classes, or studying alongside your fellow eccentric students, every session will be full of interesting moments and fun college shenanigans. Although things might seem peaceful, every session we'll uncover more and more about the strange happenings on campus. Are the things going wrong just happenstance? Or are there more sinister plots afoot? Additional Features and Practical Exams: Expect to explore new magic beyond your core class abilities. While studying at Thronehold Academy, you'll be able to learn additional spells and combat maneuvers, earn gold from extracurricular clubs, and after your learning, test out your combat abilities in the school's Practical Exam Dungeon! Craft the Session Alongside the DM: Although I have the plot of the campaign and the general outline of the activities you'll do for the session, there will be a lot of improvisation. I invite you the players to help collaborate with me the GM and help craft what happens together. Feel free to make stuff up and help direct what areas we'll explore and what we'll do during these sessions! If you're the type of player who really enjoys actively participating in crafting what's going on, you're exactly the type of player we're looking for! This campaign is perfect for those who thrive on character-driven storytelling and want to immerse themselves in a magical school setting. If you’re ready to explore the social side of D&D, deepen your roleplay, and slowly uncover a plot that tests your loyalty to the Academy and each other, My Fantasy Academia: Eberron Strixhaven awaits! Bee is a GM who works very well with what she is given. She thrives under pressure and accommodates for a range of experience levels. I enjoyed the homebrewed systems in her Waterdeep campaign immensely.

Bee has a unique style of GMing that can best be described as whimsical, "yes, and" and inclusive. While the more gritty style of fantasy is my usual preferred style, this was a nice change of pace and helped me see the variety that playing TTRPG has to offer. If you enjoy homebrew, a unique story, and high roleplay, please join Bee for a game!

Additional details

How to prepare

Aside from an adequate computer, browser, microphone, and internet connection, our games will be played Via Discord and Roll20, so you'll need accounts for those. Webcams are optional, but encouraged! I also have all the books for character creation on DnDBeyond, so you can create your characters there too. You'll need the Chrome/Firefox extension "Beyond20" installed, which sends your DnDBeyond rolls into our Roll20 room for us to see. You can also use physical dice instead if you wish! A good understanding of the rules for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2024 Rules) is recommended, but not required. Because this is a very roleplay and investigation heavy campaign, I require good teamwork skills, cooperation, and good communication. Our games will be played in English, so you will need to be fluent. Aside from your character sheet, I'll also need a PNG of your character, ideally their face. I'll be making them into tokens, or you can make and send me the art as tokens yourself. Please do your best to show up 30 minutes early if you can. This is so that if we need to discuss any details before we start, we can do so. Also for the beginning of the campaign, I ask that you give me at least one significant NPC your character interacts with in the city, for roleplay purposes.

What I provide

Our sessions will be played on Roll20, Discord and DnDBeyond. We shall have maps, tokens, and music.

Gameplay details

CONTENT WARNING / DISCLAIMER: Adult Humor/Dirty Jokes (It's College, we're all adults, you know how it is), Fantasy Violence, Romance, College Antics, Anime/Pop Culture Characters are used to fill the cast of students and teachers. Oh and Insects (big ones! as enemies), And Fantasy Substances! ADDITIONAL NOTES: This game is for ADVANCED players only. I'd prefer to only accept players very skilled/advanced with Roleplay, Improv, Backstory Making, Proficient with Combat, Note Taking, and Advanced Homebrew Rules. Ideally only if you're a DM/GM yourself, or have played for at least over a year. Because the barrier to entry is high, you can expect Advanced/Really Great Players to join as well along side you! No offence to newbies, but this is for Advanced Roleplayers and Combat/Advanced Rules Aficionados! Please and thank you. Expect school antics and fun player roleplay and drama. Full disclosure this will not be a very serious campaign, but we'd like to facilitate roleplay and watch your characters grow and flourish. In the My Fantasy Academia Adventure Series, Gameplay will consist of Roleplaying meeting and interacting with our colorful cast of Students and Teachers, Exploring the academy grounds and attending school and training, and at the end of every session, testing out your new abilities in Combat during the Practical Exam Bounty/Dungeon!

How will character creation work

Character Creation Any of the official books, and you can reflavor/reskin the races/feature if you like (Homebrew may be allowed on a case-by-case basis) I prefer no multiclassing, unless you have a really solid story/character vibe. Level 1 or 4 (Ask the DM what level we’re starting), Point buy for Stats! and Average HP Start with Starting Class Equipment + 500 gp and you can have specific custom items for free as well if its relevant to your backstory. And Instead of Alignment, you'll be choosing something called a "Fate". See Discord for more info! We're playing to Level 12 ish. Please also provide me! - Token of your Character - Quick Bullet Points about them - Which House College you're enrolling in - Which Nation of the Five Founding Nations you're from - Tokens of your NPCs and Bullets about each of them NPCs like Classmates, Roommates, Rivals, Upper-Classmates, and even Teachers! The Campaign will last roughly 25 to 30 Sessions! :)
