The God Hunters Guild

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

🌌 God Hunters Guild 🔥 In a world ruled by a corporate empire, gods are real—and they are hunted. The God Hunters Guild (GHG) controls every city, every surveillance drone, and every piece of divine technology. If you work for them, you track and eliminate divine anomalies before they warp reality itself. If you stand against them, you live in the shadows, fighting to uncover the truth they refuse to admit: not all gods deserve to die. 🔻 What You’ll Experience: High-Stakes Missions: Hunt rogue gods, retrieve dangerous relics, and navigate the corporate machine that sees you as disposable. Moral Dilemmas: Will you follow orders or question the truth behind GHG’s mission? Cyberpunk Horror Meets Divine Warfare: The neon-lit streets of corporate cities contrast with the nightmare of reality-warping Dead Zones. Rebellion or Loyalty: Play both sides, go fully rogue, or remain a loyal enforcer—every decision has consequences. 🔻 Your Day-to-Day in the Game: Corporate Operative or Rebel? You’ll take on assignments from the God Hunters Guild or work to dismantle them from within. Mission-Based Gameplay: Each session will focus on a god-hunting contract, an extraction, or sabotage mission in a dystopian, cyber-mystical world. Tech, Augments, & Magic: Expect to customize your cybernetic enhancements, divine relics, and experimental weaponry to survive. Choice-Driven Storytelling: Your actions will define how the world sees you—hero, traitor, or something else entirely. 💀 Will you keep hunting gods, or will you take the fight to the ones who made this world?

Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Gameplay details

Safety Tools & Gameplay Details for The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth Safety Tools Introduction: For our journey into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all players is paramount. We utilize a variety of safety tools and practices to make sure that everyone can enjoy the adventure without distress or discomfort. Lines and Veils: Prior to Session 0, I will be sending out a link to our Lines and Veils document. This document is a collaborative tool that allows us to openly discuss and agree upon the themes and elements that are explicitly welcome, those that should be avoided, and those that can be included but with caution. I encourage you to contribute honestly, as this will shape our adventure to be enjoyable for everyone. Session 0: Our Session 0 is not just about character creation and setting the stage for our adventure. It's also about establishing trust and understanding within our group. During this session, we will go over the Lines and Veils document in detail, introduce the X, N, & O's system, and discuss any personal boundaries or concerns. This is also the perfect time for you to ask questions about the game mechanics, the setting, and what you can expect from the gameplay. X, N, & O's: Throughout our sessions, we will be using the X (stop), N (pause), and O (okay) system to continuously communicate comfort levels. These can be signaled digitally through our online platform, via chat messages, or by holding up signs on video, depending on what everyone feels most comfortable with. This system ensures that everyone has the power to immediately pause or stop an uncomfortable situation. Aftercare: After each session, we'll take a few minutes to decompress, discuss any intense moments that occurred, and share our thoughts and feelings about the game's progression. This aftercare process is crucial for maintaining a supportive group dynamic and addressing any concerns that may arise during play. Gameplay Details: Our adventure will be rich in exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and character development. I aim to create a balanced experience that caters to the preferences of the group while staying true to the thematic essence of the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth. Final Note: Your safety and enjoyment are my top priorities. If at any point you have concerns or need adjustments, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Together, we can create an unforgettable adventure that respects the boundaries and enriches the experience of every player.
