About the adventure
📖 The story so far: A ten year time skip has left our heroes thrown into a realm of chaos and destruction. Inter-planar portals tear through the fabric of the material plane, and the gods have seemingly abandoned their followers. Faerun is under constant tension, and now more than ever, they need heroes. 📚 Our Party: ★Marian, a Human Celestial Warlock/Abjurer Wizard seeks to understand her accidental pact with an unknown power, the fabric of the upper planes depends on it. ★Vesper, a Satyr World Tree Barbarian is haunted by dreams of their fey home in great danger, the crumbling branches of the World Tree that connect all planes of existence crumbles and falters, destabilizing the very world around them. ★Erik, a Human Bard returning to find his family is under strange ailment, seeking to find a cure for their curse. 📕Looking for a few more players to join this established campaign. I do require new players to meet with me prior to their upcoming session to talk about your character, and how you'll fit into the story, sewing some hooks to have you and the group set towards a common goal.

About me
Living in a small ski town in the Canadian Rockies, I began running games like most people - with small groups of inconsistent friends and constant cancelations. Throughout the years of playing various TTRPG's I found myself obsessed with telling stories of High Fantasy, Horror and Mystery. Two years ago, my town was devastated by a wildfire, burning over half of the town to the ground. Being displaced for months, loosing employment, and eventually moving back to my destroyed town, I started hosting games on StartPlaying as a source of income. Over the last two years, having run numerous long term campaigns, I've moved into being a (nearly) full time DM.

Creating your character
👥Character creation will be done privately before the session begins over discord to have everything set up for the game beforehand. 📖Primarily leaning towards 2024 rules, older 5e content will be allowed, with some discretion to be modified - Rule of Cool above all else. 💻Using the Foundry VTT web browser app, I run a private server with integrated dice rolling, character sheets, music, maps and tokens.
This will be a narrative driven game, so send the long character backstory over and let me integrate your character into the story! Our party is at fourteenth level, moving into high risk heroics for the protection of the fabric of the material plane The Party in Play: Marian the Human Walorck, directed by an Animal Lord of the Upper Planes, sworn to protect the realm at all costs. Vesper the Satyr Barbarian, now turned Paladin, forced from their home of the Feywild, and now bound to an Oath of Dryads of the World Tree, lead by the prophetic visions of the Ancients Erik the Human Bard, once a thief of Waterdeep now walks a path of redemption, resurrected by the God Lathander to amend for his hideous past, haunted by his father's strange incurable ailment.

What Crusty brings to the table
🤖Playing on Foundry VTT & over Discord, myself and a few other players use webcams, but are not mandatory. I'll be bringing a full integrated soundtrack for background music, custom tokens, maps and handouts. 🎨NPC voices make everything fun. Descriptive combats that are fast moving. Detailed narration to keep you intrigued, and proper player spotlighting to make sure everyone is a main character. 🌟With deep character background connections I'll bring your character to life with motives, hooks, and connections drawing you into the story on a personal level, altering the module as I see fit to better align with the parties playstyle and expectations. 🎲A great understanding of the rules with a few tweaked preferences, all for the players enjoyment.
Homebrew rules
•A custom stat rolling method creating more heroic characters with a higher diversity of build potential for the players. •Dynamic initiative - rerolling initiative at the end of each round to keep players on their toes. •Dirty Criticals - all hits 10 over the AC target number are critical (applies from monster attacks as well). Speeds up combat, makes fights more deadly. •Hidden death saves to create suspense
