Odyssey of the Dragonlords | Greek Inspired | Learn To Play D&D

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

“In a land where even the gods are bound by oaths & prophecies…” Welcome to Thylea—a world of ancient legends, bitter gods, vengeful titans, & the kind of choices that echo for centuries. Odyssey of the Dragonlords is a full level 1–20 campaign inspired by Greek mythology, built for big feelings, epic quests, & stories that feel like they matter. ⚔️ You’re chosen. Not by accident. Not by luck. Prophecy called you. The Titans are stirring, the gods are tense, & your name’s about to end up in some bard’s ballad—if you survive. 🌍 Explore a mythic world. Sail the Forgotten Sea, walk in the ruins of long-dead empires, meet heroes, monsters, & immortals with long memories. 🛡️ Face giants, dragons, & fate itself. You’ll battle legends, unlock divine power, & try not to get crushed under the weight of your own story. 🎭 It’s roleplay-heavy. The drama hits just as hard as the dice do. Your character’s choices shape the world, relationships matter, & there’s space for quiet moments in between the storms. 🌟 What you can expect: -A full 1–20 arc packed with quests, heroics, & heartbreak -Big mythic themes without sacrificing personal arcs -A welcoming table for new & veteran players alike -Gods. Lots of gods. Some petty. Some scary. Some both. 🎟️ Come write your legend. The bards are ready. The Titans are restless. You in? [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] -------------------------- 📣See what Crow has to say about my DM'ing: ⭐"Leland is a creative and immersive DM that makes everyone at the table feel welcomed and included. He is always available for questions and is patient with his players. He is also very chilled, knowing the perfect amount of time for players to be silly before having to get us back on track. Would recommend for anyone who is new to TTRPGs."

Party notes

Every Friday at 9pm central IMPORTANT We require a 24-hour cutoff before any established campaign begins to onboard new players. This time allows us to properly introduce the player to the game and ensure they are fully prepared to join the ongoing campaign. If the onboarding process cannot be completed within this timeframe, the player will need to delay joining until the process is finalized. In special circumstances, the DM may have the discretion to make exceptions to this rule.

Gameplay details

I'll have everyone submit lines/veils/interests via DMs, then I will distribute a pdf document for the other players to have on hand or have it as a handout in the VTT of choice. Then we'll go over them during session 0, along with making characters and doing some collaborative storytelling to establish relationships between said characters. I typically post a custom agenda the day before session 0 begins.

How will character creation work

If you'd like to make a character in advance, the parameters are as follows. It must be made on Roll20 or DNDbeyond: -Lvl (current campaign level, please ask) -Standard array ability scores -Starting equipment (instead of gold) -Max HP at 1st level, average after that (fixed) -a bonus feat based on your background, using this guide, IF YOUR BACKGROUND DOESN'T GIVE YOU ONE ALREADY: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ofgtj4c46M7hBe2eAViKh3ssXaXfhMdzZRgEe46Qolc/edit?usp=sharing -All WOTC content available in my roll20 library or DNDbeyond library is available to make a character with, including 3rd party classes, subclasses, races, & spells from: Midgard Worldbook, Rise of the Drow, Chains of Asmodeus, Sebastian Crowe's guide to Drakkenheim, Dungeons of Drakkenheim, Southlands Player's Guide & Worldbook, Creature Codex, Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, Deep Magic Vol. 1 & 2, The Beastheart & Monstrous Companions, The Illrigger, Empire of the Ghouls, Tome of Beasts 1, 2, & 3, Tome of Heroes, Flee Mortals, Underworld Player's Guide, Valda's Spire of Secrets, Vault of Magic, Wanderer's Guide to Enchanted Emporiums, Wanderer's Guide to Merchants and Magic, Wastes of Chaos, Where Evil Lives, Book of Ebon Tides, & Xanathar's Lost Notes to Everything Else. 127+ races. 41+ classes via Roll20, with less via DnD Beyond (but still a lot!) Otherwise, I can personally get with anyone and help them in advance. I'd like to use session 0 to discuss safety, do some collaborative storytelling to establish relationships between PC's, and maybe even get intros to said characters. However, we will make it work! IMPORTANT: THIS IS A HIGHLY THEMATIC CAMPAIGN SO WE WILL MAKE CHARACTERS DURING SESSION ZERO IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE WE ADHERE TO SAID THEMES. I'M SORRY FOR YELLING!
