About the adventure

Lock yourself into the pilot seat of one of the maddest mech combat Tabletops games ever created! Battle Mechs of unknowable interdimensional power, guns as destructive as stars, and pilots more vicious than the serration of their blades! This campaign will follow a group of Lancer mercenaries as they make their way through 'The Diaspora'; which is the majority of the disjointed human population spread throughout the galaxy. We'll be going through multiple published narratives for the setting starting with No Room for a Wallflower, Operation: Solstice Rain, and/or Dustgrave depending on the path the players want to take it. ----------------------------- Lancer is a Mech Combat rules system for Tabletop with a HEAVY focus on customizing your mech for optimum destruction. Live rounds, Laser weapons, Hacking (physical and digital), Weird Mathematical Space Magic, Overdrives, Cascading AI Anime Girls, Cold Fusion Meltdown Management, and more are all available here to help you achieve your mech piloting dreams! The system starts out fairly simple with an easy to use website named COMP/CON that allows you to tinker, upgrade and change your mech's loadout and get it ready for battle. Players will hop onto Roll20 and get into the action on a large hexagrid to fight off other mech pilots and Automated robots alike.

About me

Hello! My name is Leland Vaughan although I usually go by Candlemoth online. I love the medium of RPGs and I'm excited to use this platform to play lots of different game systems that I haven't tried yet and am dying to jump into. I've been DMing and playing for somewhere around 12 years and when I started I never thought I'd be able to get paid to do what I love like this. I read constantly and I'm very interested in what Kurt Vonnegut called 'The Shape of Stories'. In that vain, I'm always looking to bring a unique and personalized experience to even pre-made adventures. I've also created my own RPG system that I'll be running on here and with any luck, publishing in the next few years. Check out what games I'm running and let's jump into something together! Feel free to message me if you've got requests for games or times!!!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created before the game starts using COMP/CON and the pilots can submit the Mech and Character to me on Discord. If players like they can also make a token for their mech using the second site below. https://compcon.app/#/ https://www.retrogrademinis.com/

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Creating a Pilot and Mech on COMP/CON, familiarizing themselves with their mech's abilities and weapons, and discussing their builds with the other players on the Discord.

What DM Candle brings to the table

I bring maps, enemies, books, integration with Roll20, and 2 years worth of experience with the system.

Safety

How DM Candle creates a safe table

Lancer is primarily about mech combat and the damage and weapons used for that, explicit gory deaths of pilots aren't usually discussed, but some mechs can self destruct or put the pilots in danger in other ways.
