About the adventure
Embrace the mist and step into the land of darkness and terror. Where an ancient count rules and every shadow hides something sinister. It's time to visit the land where not everybody drinks...wine. Curse of Strahd is a gothic horror campaign set in Ravenloft. This will be a weekly game. You are about to set out on an adventure that will lead you through small villages, ancient castles, and come into contact with a variety of interesting characters who can help you along your journey or lead you to your demise. About me
Hello all. A little about me. I have been playing and running dungeons and dragons games for 30 years. My games are a mix of role play, combat, and storytelling. For me the best part of the game is seeing the players complete an encounter and the joy in their voices upon realizing their achievement.

Creating your character
Character creation will be handled during the first session (session 0). All characters start out at 3rd level and will use standard array for stats which will be provided during session 0. Session 0 will give everyone an opportunity to discuss character creation, backstory, and allow group to discuss the different classes to help form a solid group.
Looking for players who enjoy roleplay and mystery. This is a new game with character level starting off at 3rd level. Beginner and experienced players both are welcome. We currently have two players in the game and looking for at least two more to start the campaign. Character creation guidelines are listed on discord. You are welcome to use 2014, 2024, or combination of both to build characters.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphone: Players will need a microphone for voice communication during the game. Headset or speakers for audio Webcam: Webcams are optional and not needed. Roll20 Account: Players will need to have a roll20 account. This is where I will host our game sessions, manage character sheets, maps, and other game elements. Discord: Players will need a discord account for voice communication and out of game discussions. If you are using DnD beyond you will need the beyond 20 chrome extension.
What Thorin brings to the table
As the DM/GM I provide a VTT and discord channel for all players to use for the game, character creation, and communication. I believe in the rule of cool while adhering to the rules as written as a guideline for a fun, immersive game. I encourage roleplay to bring characters and npcs to life. I do voices for the npcs (however I am no voice actor.) I create fun challenging combat situations as well. Also I provide music to set the mood for the game and the different situations that you the player will be in. Session 0 will be free.

How Thorin creates a safe table
Session zero is free. This is where we will go over character creation and set any boundaries anyone might have. Breaks will be taken half way through each session. If an extra break is needed feel free to ask. I have an open door policy. I can be reached through discord and start playing to discuss anything involving the game and game play. I will be available before and after each game to discuss any issues, answer questions, and discuss the game its self.
