About the adventure
Trailer: https://youtu.be/bxsYw1NXPuo For as long as anyone can remember the Lost Land has been a lawless region, home to only outlaws and monsters, and all attempts to conquer it have ended in disaster. But recently something has changed. Sightings of bandits riding powerful Knights, large metal warriors usually only controlled by those with a noble lineage, have begun to appear in greater frequency. The mythological monsters of this realm test the borders, awakened and enraged by mysterious sources. Scholars have even unearthed old records that suggest the Lost Land may even contain the First City, the legendary home of the gods before the great fall. Despite all of this turmoil and rumor however the northern country of Medion has no response, as they are gripped by a possible succession crisis. Therefore an opportunity has arisen for Freelancers, Knights looking for a new cause, Medion nobles or royalty seeking their own claims, outcasts trying to build something they can call home, or even mysterious mercenaries who claim to be from beyond the stars, all now have a chance at becoming… Kingmakers --- Welcome to the Lancer campaign, Kingmaker, which is partly designed as a homage to the Pathfinder Kingmaker campaign setting - but with mechs and sci-fi mysteries. The Campaign is split up into three acts and will run for about 6 months, starting at LL2 and ending at LL7. If you’ve ever played a Kingmaker game before don’t worry, this game and its setting diverges quite a bit from the Pathfinder version. Explore a medieval realm, beset by endless troubles and the puzzle of its founding. Stake your claim to a piece of the Lost Land and build your own nation, and then defend it from the threats that arise. Will your nation survive, or merely become another footnote in the tragic history of this world? Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello everyone, I'm James, an English 36 year old programmer. For the last 18 years I have been a DM with a passion for building and designing my own settings and campaigns as I’ve always loved coming up with unique worlds for players to explore, and how they impact it through their own backgrounds and actions. For each of the games I run I make a trailer on my youtube channel, feel free to request any that pique your interest: https://www.youtube.com/@JimGamemaster I write and build my own campaigns, and more recently I've been getting into pixel art and animations. Credit to (https://admurin.itch.io/) for the amazing skeleton I use for my profile.

Creating your character
Characters and mechs will be built in a website called Comp/Com, and I’ll be walking through the steps on how to create your character and mech during the session 0. For those who already know the system we'll be starting at LL 2.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you’ll need to join the game is a mic, a Discord account and the ability to run Foundry.
What James brings to the table
I’ll be providing tutorials on character creation and how to play, as well as maps, music and drama in my Foundry setup. All the mech models in this game will be animated, and after the first session I’ll animate the players mechs and customize them for you.

How James creates a safe table
The session 0 will be free, and I’ll go over character creation and some basic rules of the game then. You are a team of Freelancers, mech pilots, brought together by converging ambitions that takes you deeper into the lost lands. Are you a princess escaping the succession crisis, looking to make a nation for yourself? A noble seeking adventure? A Knight without a cause to serve? A scholar using strange techniques to maintain your mech? An outcast dabbling in heretical powers? Or are you someone known as a Lancer, that actually hails from space and due to certain circumstances now find yourself trapped on this weird planet with people who don’t know anything about humanities history?
